Still Hoping for Treasure, But the Magnet Is Solid!
I bought this fishing magnet with high hopes of pulling up hidden treasures—maybe an old tool, a vintage trinket, or even something wild like a rusty lockbox. So far… nothing but rocks and dreams! 😅 But let me be clear: that’s no fault of the magnet. This thing is seriously strong. It latches onto anything remotely magnetic with a satisfying thunk, and you can tell it’s built to last. The materials feel sturdy, and the rope it came with (if yours includes one) holds up well even after repeated dunking and dragging.Even though I haven’t found anything exciting yet, the experience is still fun—and kind of addicting. I’ve been taking it out on lake days, creek walks, and even a couple of roadside bridges just to see what might be hiding. If you’re into outdoor hobbies, scavenger hunts, or just want to try something new and oddly satisfying, this is worth a shot. Just know it’s not an instant treasure machine—it’s part luck, part location, and part patience. I’m still holding out for my first big find. Until then, this magnet is going everywhere with me.

Wham bam thank you mam...what a beast of a magnet!
Wham bam thank you mam! This is one strong magnet and good sized to.. very nice quality and should be strong enough to pick up all sorts of heavy objects like old safes , digarded arm machines along with anything else that weighs a ton or so. Now all I need is a winch to drag the item to shore. Highly recommend this beast of a magnet.

This product works well
Took it out under the bridge in river and it worked well! Lot of smaller metal things like nails and rebar. It does come off of some things that are bigger as it tries to drag it through the water so you have to pull slowly, so you may want a bigger one. But for the price, it works very well.

Love it, had to buy another one cause my grandson threw my first one in the river lol.

Cheap materials
One of the clips (carabiner) on the rope was poorly made with a big crack in the metal. I wanted a simple clip replacement. Unfortunately, you cannot contact foreign company directly so resolution not possible. While not a bad looking kit, materials are cheap and unusable.

Meets expectations t this price point, but it's not 760 pound pull
I haven't used it in water yet, but it pulled a bucket full of nails and staples from my burn pile. That alone could have saved me the cost of a tire on the lawn tractor. Thread locker was a nice add-on, rope seems strong enough (pull the knots tight before you use it). Grappling hook will be good to retrieve things that the magnet can't quite lift.If you read the description carefully, it's a double sided magnet with a 380 pound pull rating. Either side will let go at 380 pounds, so you can't count that as pulling 760! Pull force is measured on a perfectly flat plate, pulled directly away. It will break free at much lower force if you rock to one side or slide it off. That's a good thing. I wouldn't want a fishing magnet that requires a winch or come-along to get it loose from whatever it sticks to.Max force only occurs when there is no gap between the magnet and the ferrous or nickel object. There's barely any force after an inch or two. That's expected. Do save the foam that it was shipped with to protect your car. If you carelessly toss this magnet into the trunk of your car and let this stick to the inside of your fender, you will almost certainly cause a dent when you pull it loose. The gloves are useless - really thin and won't fit a man sized hand. Do go get a decent pair of gloves unless you're a tough guy who is up to date on your tetanus shot. There will likely be metal slivers too small to notice stuck on this magnet that will still have the ability to pierce skin. Stuff pulled out of the muck at the bottom of a river is definitely not sterile. The grappling hook looks to be strong enough, and thankfully comes with bits of plastic tubing to cover the points - and that's needed because those points are very sharp. The carabiners appear to be good quality and made from stainless steel, but they are martensitic stainless, meaning that they are still weakly attracted to a magnet. I expect that they will have a tendency to snap down onto the magnet when throwing the magnet into the river. That will sort of defeat using the side pull to keep the magnet facing the river bottom.
