I recently bought the ORCATORCH D530 Scuba Dive Light, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice. The narrow beam angle is perfect for really lighting up distant targets, allowing me to see into holes, caves, and cracks far away. The distance on this thing is great!It is VERY compact, and incredibly powerful with a 1300 lumens output. Quality durable build made from high-quality aluminum alloy. Easy to operate with one hand even with gloves the button is solid, easy to activate and designed to not easily accidently operate if that makes sense. Built in battery indicator but the battery lasts me multiple dives. Added to my fishing kit too. Works well above the water and nice to have completely water proof.Highly recommend, reliable, powerful, and versatile!

I recently took the OrcaTorch D530 Scuba Dive Light on a series of night and day dives.First off, this dive light is incredibly compact yet unbelievably powerful. With a maximum brightness of 1200 lumens, it served perfectly as both a primary dive light and a reliable backup. The 7-degree narrow beam angle allows me to illuminate distant areas. This especially important when diving in Lake Pleasant Arizona. The large amount of turbidity makes using many standard lights or wide angle lights very difficult.Operating the light underwater was a breeze thanks to the titanium alloy side switch, offering two lighting modes – high mode with 1200 lumens and medium mode with 500 lumens. The built-in battery indicator provided peace of mind, ensuring I always knew the real-time battery level during my dives. Plus, the ability to charge the battery in multiple ways was a convenient feature, saving space in my diving pack.One of the standout features for me was the safety lock function. With a simple 5-second hold of the side switch, I could activate the safety lock, preventing accidental activation. This is great when it is shoved in the bottom of your dive bag and might accidentally be turned on. By the time you get to the dive site, you just have a dead light.Overall, the OrcaTorch D530 exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a seasoned diver or just starting out, I highly recommend adding this dive light to your scuba go bag. It's reliable, powerful, and sturdy enough to stand up to my tough lake diving.

At 1300 lumens in a compact 18650 form, this Orcatorch D530 flashlight makes the perfect recreational primary light, an overhead/cavern primary or backup light, or a cave backup light. It has a superior power-to-weight/size ratio than any competitor in its class. The perfectly-sized 8-degree beam angle is well-suited for overhead conditions and is the recommended beam angle. Most divers in overhead conditions are following the trend to shy away from anything that is ten degrees or more because of too much spillover from the spotlight and inability to see signaling from behind, so Orcatorch’s 8-degree beam provides the most beautiful, perfect spotlight with just the right amount of diffused light around it to see where you are going. In an open-water environment, its small size and powerful punch is handy when swiftly exiting a pocket or even more swiftly detaching from your BCD via a bolt snap hooked to a D-ring, to see life under rocks and in crevices. To conserve battery power, i.e., for a long, shallow, recreational night dive, there is a lower setting of 380 lumens.Thoughtful design includes the following:Battery (18650) has a built-in charging port eliminating the need for a separate charger;Rugged alloy case looks and feels great, and the ribbing on both sides of the magnetic power switch provides a non-slip gripping surface for the thumb and forefinger that is very comfortable to hold for long periods of time if the hand tires of wrapping the palm and all fingers around the circumference of the light’s shaft without using the thumb and forefinger as “pinchers;”The orange ring, in addition to making a stunning fashion statement, actually provides additional grip/traction between the fourth finger and the base of one’s palm near the wrist; andAn extremely useful battery indicator light that is built into the center of the magnetic switch. Many competitor lights have worthless battery indicators because they fail to advise of battery status until it is “too late.” Importantly, not the D530. With different colors that start their indication when power falls to 30% and below, you have ample warning in the following progression: green-orange-red-flashing red.I very much like the locking on/off magnetic switch that operates with precision (and locks out the light from being accidentally turned on). I have tired of rotating/twist switches because they inevitably get sand granules in them and eventually no longer turn to activate. There is far less possibility of this happening with a magnetic switch and moreover, the magnetic switch, because of its size as compared to the larger circumference of a twist switch, inherently outperforms a twist switch in this regard.Photos displayed are self-explanatory except for the two photos that each display two beams. The left is of my older-era, 18650 battery light as compared to the D530 on the right on both its high and low settings. Incredibly, the D530 on both its high and low output settings far outperforms my dive light of the same physical size, same battery size, but which has an older-era LED than the D530. This is stunning and unequivocal proof of the D530’s power to weight ratio.In sum, Orcatorch has set the new standard for size, power to weight ratio, beam angle, ergonomics, durability, and price with its offering of the D530.

I recently took the Orcatorch D530 with me on a dive off the California coast, and it was incredible. This light option I got was "Cool White Light" and is super bright and perfect for diving.The narrow beam really cuts through the water, making it easy to see into nooks and crannies. I was able to spot things far away that I would have missed with a regular light. It's small and lightweight, but don’t let that fool you—it’s really powerful.Using it is a breeze, too. The side switch is easy to find and use, even with gloves on. I loved that it has a battery indicator, so I knew exactly how much juice I had left. Plus, the safety lock is a great touch to avoid accidentally turning it on in my bag as it does warm up quickly if turned on outside of water. What really impressed me was how sturdy it felt. It's made of solid materials and seems like it will last a long time.Overall, the Orcatorch is a fantastic dive light that I’d recommend. It’s bright, durable, compact and easy to use—everything you need for a great underwater experience.
