Great way to Display Albums!
After years of getting a massive cd collection, I finally have started collecting vinyl records, as they have their own unique sound, and make for such great works of art to display in your home. I got the idea to start hanging albums up in my apartment. The only problem was buying frames was going to be enormously expensive, as most frames cost at the minimum $10, if not more. So I went on Amazon looking for prices of frames, and ran into these album mounts. I liked the "3D" look of these, and saw they were much cheaper, so I decided to try them out. I bought 4 for my first purchase to test them out.I got them in the mail within a few days, and they were packaged solidly. They were very easy to put together and to hang on my wall. You actually don't even need to get a hammer and nails out to mount these on your wall. I simply use thumb tacks (which I did for many years when I hung up action figures on my walls), and they work just as well and are also much easier to put up your wall, and make less damage on the wall too. You can adjust the mount to any height you need for the records.Once I had them hung up, I thought they looked amazing. Since those original 4 mounts, I've purchased 16 more, so I presently have 20 albums mounted/hung up on my bedroom wall in my apartment. I certainly plan on purchasing more. The only drawback I've seen from them is that if you don't tighten the mounts enough, your albums can kind of hang to the side and not straight, and the edges/openings of the albums (where you pull the actual records out) start to open up wider which makes the record sleeves bulge a bit. So you have to be kind of precise in how you position the mount from a height standpoint. If you have too much of a height gap in your mount, to where the top edge of the mount doesn't touch top of the record sleeve, those things will happen. So just be precise in how you put together the mount and you'll be fine.In conclusion, I strongly recommend purchasing these instead of frames, if you are wanting to mount or hang up your albums. For three reasons.1. Way cheaper. I've spent probably about $120 over the last few months purchasing 20 album mounts. If I had went for some good frames on here, I would've probably only gotten 10-12 frames for that same price.2. It looks cooler, IMO. Obviously this is a matter of taste, and some might like a framed look better. Obviously I want frames for any type of posters or pictures, but for something like this, these "3D" album mounts make for a much cooler look, I think.3. You can easily change your albums you want to display, as with these mounts, you can easily slide an album in and out, and replace it with another one. Or if you want to listen to an album you have hung up, you can simply slide it out of the mount, and put the record on and jam! With frames, you have to take the frame down, open it up, and take it out of the frame which will take a few minutes, compared to 5 seconds with the mounts. These mounts are a "Godsend" for those that want to display albums. And if you're a music lover and have vinyl records in your music collection, you should definitely hang or mount some of your albums. It will make your home look much cooler and give it more of a personal vibe of who you are. Everyone loves to decorate their homes. Why wouldn't music lovers want to decorate their home with some of their favorite albums. Highly recommended.Below is a picture of my current display in my apartment.

Glad to have found AlbumMounts! They work like a charm.
I wanted a product that would let me create a rotating gallery for displaying my favorite album covers, and I'm very glad to have found and chosen the AlbumMounts. I could make a few minor suggestions for improvement, but overall they function just as I wanted.Things I like about them (especially compared to all the other mounting solutions I considered before buying these):1. Versatility. I love products that have multiple uses, so I definitely love seeing the thought that was put into the AlbumMount design for how they can be adjusted and used multiple ways. You can use them to hang albums on the wall (my primary purpose for buying them), but you can also use them as a freestanding display stand. I love that you can manually adjust the height to any measurement up to 13", since album covers in my collection are not necessarily uniform across the decades, and you could use them to display other items if you chose, like books. The display possibilities are literally endless. You can use the AlbumMounts to place as many albums as you want (or many other things besides), in any arrangement, anywhere on your walls. You can use them for any size album cover, even thick, multi-disc sets.2. Flexibility. Before purchasing, I saw some reviewers dismiss the AlbumMounts as "flimsy." I get where they are coming from, but I would actually describe them as "flexible," as in, they are not a rigid plastic, but a flexible plastic. I actually find this a plus, since it makes it easier to slide album covers in and out (though I did sand down the edges of the lips at the top and bottom of the mounts that hold the album in place, just to make sure the plastic edges don't scratch the edges of my fragile album covers), and gives you a little wiggle room in adjusting the AlbumMounts to fit an album cover. If you adjust the height of the mount while an album cover is already fit inside of it (not too snug, not too loose), you can get a perfect fit. You also don't have to worry about having a full 12" on either side of your mount to successfully slide an album in, since the flexibility of the plastic lets you slide it in at more of an angle.3. Simplicity. The AlbumMounts are unassuming and transparent. They disappear completely in your display, and they make it super easy to take albums down and put new albums up whenever you want. They are lightweight and actually reasonably priced for how much you can do with them.4. Display appearance. These just make great-looking album displays. The floating effect makes your albums pop, and like I said, you can't even see the mounts, unless you're looking really closely. They don't block or cover any part of the album, and they let you display albums anywhere you want, in any arrangement. No complaints here.Improvements I might suggest:1. The lips that hold the album cover on the top and bottom could have a slightly wider overhang on the front of the cover. They are about 1/4", and I think they would be just as inconspicuous and hold the album a little more sturdily if they were about 1/2". However, after a couple months of use I don't have any problems with them doing their job of holding albums on the walls as they are, especially since you can adjust the size of each individual AlbumMount to each individual record.2. I originally felt the AlbumMounts themselves could also be a little wider, something like 4 or 5" instead of the 3" they are. I could see how if you were using one nail through the one keyhole to mount them on the wall that they could be a little unsteady, but I just used detachable picture-hanging strips from 3M, the kind that can attach and unattach things to the wall over and over again like velcro. This gives me the option of easily taking the mounts off the wall, adjusting them to fit a particular album cover, then sticking them back on the wall. By using two strips on the top and two strips on the bottom, they stay perfectly solid on the wall, no shaking or worry whatsoever! After a couple months of using the mounts, though, the width didn't actually end up bothering me. My arrangement is quite sturdy. All in all, I love the AlbumMounts, and I can definitely see myself ordering more in the future. I love being able to get my albums off my shelf and actually see them, and I love being able to easily rotate them to create displays with common themes or colors. There are a few improvements I could suggest but none of them affect the functionality of the product as it is. They work perfectly for my purposes and I see no real urgency for changing a thing.Hope this review is helpful in making your own purchase decision!

Falls Short
I don’t know. I’m returning these. I loved the idea of floating album covers but the execution of these brackets leaves something to be desired. I ordered two different packs and the mounting holes aren’t in the same spots so I had to tweak everything to have them align. The brackets are basically infinitely adjustable which is nice for customizing but it also effects how the album is bent or straightened against the wall and can also cause the cover to bow open. There are no guides to keep things straight and the cuts don’t seem to be consistent from one bracket to the next. This makes it significantly harder to have them appear aligned. As mentioned in other reviews, if you’re mounting double albums or collectors editions with extra heft to them then the brackets might struggle a little.Basically I bought these to simplify the hanging process without having a frame around the record. But after I spent an evening hanging and adjusting and not loving the outcome, I realized these brackets don’t really simplify things because you’d have to tweak and adjust every time you swapped a new album in and out. I’m pretty sure a cheap box of nails could perform the job as well for way less. (A box of nails you’re going to have to buy anyway because the $8 you’re spending on a bracket doesnt include any mounting hardware.)So yeah, in summary, a good idea that falls just short enough on execution that I don’t feel the money spent justifies the job done. Save your money, get some nails, put one for each corner and slide the album between them. It’ll look almost as good for way less money and way less annoyance.
