I'm convinced, it very easily could have been "Lord Of The Balls" instead of the rings... But I guess " One Ball to rule them all" sounds a bit corny. LOL - It truly is a fascinating object. Few things you see or feel have these qualities of weight, shape, smoothness, reflection, temperature. I have the 2,3 and 4 inch. The 3 inch are amazing for self-message pressing deep into muscle as it glides along. I got the 4 inch because I was drawn to it's power!!! I really hope I don't have to make that trek to some fiery mountain to throw them away....The quality of each was very good... shiny, smooth, and PRECIOUS!!! OH NO... They have a 5 inch one???

It's almost the size of a bocce ball or candlepin bowling ball, but like 4-5 times as heavy (about as heavy as the head of a medium size sledgehammer, so be advised accordingly).Magnets stick to it. It could make for a really neat storage unit for magnetic pushpins.It is precision engineered to a tolerance of about 10 microns (what G100 means, conservatively approximating)It has a mirror-like finish, though they're engineered for their smoothness and not reflectivity, so it's not as bright as a mirror reflection.It arrived in two nested bags inside a small cardboard box, covered in a lubricant (they are industrial after all), but it washes off easily with soap and water.It is a physically compelling object with no obvious application in the home, but their large inertia and incredibly smooth rolling/spinning makes them fun to play with.You will want a stand with a divot in it that it can rest in, because it's heavy, hard enough, and round enough to roll at the slightest incline. It's also heavy enough that I would worry about denting/breaking floorboards if they fell from desk height or higher. Please roll responsibly.

Oh man - this things is cool! I got a 3” ball a while ago then this one ... even though it’s only 1” bigger than the 3” - it seems like twice as big! It’s super heavy, smooth, shiny and BIG. I like holding it, rolling it around, feeling the weight and exercising with it. I am definitely going to end up getting a 5” as soon as I can afford it!

Some others here said that their ball had scratches or scuff marks, but mine showed up in PERFECT condition. I was kind of worried that i might have to try to polish it to get any imperfections off of it. This thing is flawless mirror finish all the way around. it looks just like the picture of the product! I could not be happier. Its so shiny and flawless that when you turn it in your hand, it doesnt even look like its moving. Totally badass and worth every penny! Many of the things I buy dont live up to the hype, but this is so impressive I had to leave a review!

I'm not sure why I wanted to possess a large, shiny, and spherical object such as this dimensionally perfect ball bearing... But I regret nothing! It weighs about 10lbs precisely, has a great chrome finish, and just looks neat.. I would definitely recommend that you use a smaller 1 or 2 inch ball bearing for a monkey fist though.. This 4 inch ball bearing weighs precisely 10lbs

My steelie arrived in a small box, without defects nor blemishes. I say that because I had seen complaint on other reviews. I saw several smaller ones online but wanted a desktop focal point that people would be wowed by. I am going to cut a 4 in block of wood and chisel a little indentation in the top and then put a 3 mm coat of that epoxy like coating to make a beautiful show piece. I love the reflection in it and the mirror finish. It is a heavy ten pounds.

It is the best 4" solid steel chromium ball I own. Not sure what I would do without it, or what all I will end up doing with it. Nevertheless it is being constantly held, rolled, collided, lifted, etc. We have two, along with a pair of 2.5" and 3" balls--all from BC Precision. They migrate around the living room--very compelling objects. They are frequently used for workouts during movies too. Every home needs at least one.Someday maybe a massive Kubota machine will break down in front of the house and need a large industrial bearing and I will be a hero.

I have both the 3" and the 4". They are both beautiful but if you like passing them between hands/gently tossing them around (don't hit your foot!) the 3" is more fun for me! The 4" is a little too heavy for me to easily handle and a little too big to comfortably fit in my hands. Still this lovely ball is sure to find a place on my desk or bookshelf for years to come.
