Q: Does the monitor pair with the older version cameras?

It does Connect to other babysense cameras but not the older Version

Q: Can the camera be mounted on the crib or attached to a stand, or is wall mount the only option? We don't wish to mount the camera on the wall.

It has to be connected to an outlet so mounting to crib is not advisable. I originally had it setting on dresser but wanted a more direct view of baby while sleeping and hung on wall. The base is not wireless.

Q: What stand is capable with this monitor? Looking to have it set on higher position by the crib

The camera has a wall mount (a screw set), and it can be hung on the wall, in any position you desire and that suits your needs.

Q: If you have two cameras, can you put one in two different rooms and hear the sound from both cameras at the same time?

No, you cannot hear two cameras at the same time, BUT you can set the monitor on automatic SCAN mode and it will automatically switch between the paired cameras every 10 seconds.
