Spring worked great. Clip was unnecessary
Needed a replacement Clutch Spring for my Mclane 10 blade mower. This spring worked great but since I only needed the spring it was expensive at $9.99.Not sure why they include the metal clip and don't make it a separate part if you need it.The included clip is flat and there was no way I was going to be able to reform it anywhere close to what my old ones shape so I didn't use it.Installation:Remove the single bolt holding the guard that covers the belt and then the two bolts holding the clip.Installed the new spring onto the old clip.I just forced the spring off on the "screw" on the mower frame and hooked the new spring to it with pliers.With the guard removed you now have room to pull the spring via the clip to install the two bolts back on.Used an impact drill to loosen and tighten the bolts so they don't come loose when the mower is running.Docking stars for making me buy a clip that isn't even in the shape needed.

Why a Clip?
Clutch spring was exactly what I needed; however, had to order this item with the clip which was totally wasted (good reason for jacking up the price).
