Makita T-03866 Twisted Trimmer Line, 0.080”, Green, 175’, 1/2 lbs.

I scoffed at using this 080 line on my brand new battery operated trimmer. After all, my other gasoline operated line trimmers were commercial rated trimmers that made 105 line fly like F22. So I went into this with all possible prejudice. After my first use, my predetermined opinion was shattered. And every use since, has bolstered the undeniable fact that it is the best line I have ever used.This line effectively cuts yard grass - even Bermuda grass; tall, thick and rough field grasses; salt grass; and upstart brush with the greatest of ease. I have used in dry soils and grasses; wet soils and grasses; grass patches in clay soils; coarse work; fine work; thrashed the bases of Bermuda grass clumps into oblivion; and even grasses slightly submerged in water. Bottom line, it is hands down the most durable line I have ever used. And it's effective as any line I've ever used in typical lawn conditions.

When a shoulder surgery made it impossible to start a gasoline-powered string trimmer with which I used 0.095 inch multi-edged line or a blade, I decided on a Makita string trimmer primarily because I have multiple batteries that fit it. Having enjoyed the performance of the thicker line, I wasn’t sure how well this would work. The string trimmer came with a small supply of this line, which worked very well on many weeds, with remarkable durability when used against smooth concrete. It feeds well and has only struggled against woody vegetation or rough concrete edges, as found with cinder blocks. It seems to work better than the thicker line when clearing vegetation from under chain link fences. I did not expect this to work as well as it does, its overall performance has been surprisingly good.

The package we received is marked made in USA, and I appreciate that. I imagine that Makita is probably putting their name on production from a supplier, which is a normal thing to do. We are using this in a Makita 18v trimmer and it works great. Cuts well and is very durable. Not the absolute best trimmer line anywhere, but a very competent performer at a reasonable cost.

Easy to install in weed cutter. Like twist which makes line stronger.

I put this Makita trimmer line in my Greenworks 10 Amp Trimmer and it cuts very well! Not one time did the string melt and fuse together inside the trimmer! I can finally take care of my entire backyard without having to stop cutting to take the trimmer spool out to pry the line apart and replace it with fresh line. This Makita trimmer line saved me a lot of time AND money!

The Makita T-03866 Twisted Trimmer Line is tough stuff. I think it lasts longer and cuts better than a round line alternative. I will buy it again.Best and Blessed to all... \:O).>>>

String loaded up easy and worked good. It is Makita so it has to be better then the rest.

Too short for the price. Must look to different producers with the same quality.
