Classic SOLO POPPY SEED PASTE delicious, healthy n sweet perfect!
Great product, great seller. I used it for a Poppy Seed Pastry cake n even added some extra paste on the top of the cake. Everyone n my home loved for it's quality, classic bitter flavor n perfect ratio of sweet to earthy. Not sure if these seeds have any of the natural Alkaloids left on the seeds but we all felt very chill n relaxed after cake LOL! Highly recommend these!

Great Filing for Desserts!
I have for many years made desserts with SOLO Poppy Seed Filling as did my Mother. Many German recipes use this and my store stopped carrying the Poppy Seed filling while they do stock a few other fillings by Solo. I am so happy that I am able to get this through Amazon! It's fresh and great quality.

Great purchase
Wife wanted to make homemade poppy seed rolls. No one sells canned poppy seeds near us. Great purchase! No dents in the can and they came well before the expiration date!

Stale, sticky, goey disgusting mess
The quality of the poppy seed filling has diminished 100% over the years. I have been using Solo pastry fillings for over 50 years. I used to use & love the taste of homemade poppy seed Kolachkes when I was young. They have changed the recipe & now removed all the sugar/sweetners and the product tastes like stale poppy paste. The poppy seeds were stale and had to be dug out of the can. I had to literally scrape the paste off the spoon onto the pastry dough. I am a seasoned baker so I tried adding some vanilla & sweetners to improve the flavor, but they remainded inedible after baking. I threw both cans away. I love poppy seed pastries but would not recommend these to anyone.
