Q: What is the exact width? Will it fit down a 4 inch pvc pipe?

Mine dropped right in my well. It says 4", but my cap was a little bigger than 4". Don't expect alot of pressure. I have to fill a tank and use gravity to water my garden.

Q: What add on power cord is used?

If you purchased the controller solar panel kit it will work directly to controller As for the cord 2 wire with ground. Essentially extension wire preferably 12 ga. Should be used. Hope this helps. It is a Direct Current pump and should not be wired to household current.

Q: how many watts of welectricty is used?

I’m running at 2 to 2.5 amps pumping with total head of 18 metres so 50 to 60 watts

Q: Will it work both vertical and horizontal position?

Should work just fine horizontal, however, this is a deep well submersible pump made to go in a water well. If you need a horizontally mounted pump there are lots of other options. Mine is mounted vertically 110' below the surface. Works great.
