Awesome!Both battery AC power supply can be used.Only thing to note is that, if you use AC power supply, it is 120 V.If you are OK with the price, its a good purchase. I think the high price is due to the import and shipping cost.Available in amazon.com for less.

a nice analogue radio for people who like to carry their radio along. A good balance between past and present as in, the looks are old but the receiver and all are good quality giving great distortion free station tuning. i am from india and recently ordered one for my mother. Point to be kept in mind while ordering appliances from other countries is, FIRST you should check the voltage input!!!...cuz in america the standard household power supply is 120 V whereas for India, it is 220 V. so if u want to use it with the power cord, first you should get a Voltage converter!!..or else u will end up screwing your appliance..like I DID..hehehhe. but anyways, in my case, the radio still functions on battery so, will use it just like dat.....good product!!...SONY should think about launching these sets in India too as there is still a large part of society who want analogue radios...

MW sensitivity is good,if ferrite bar could be of more length then it will become excellent, sound on FM is very good, Although FM is sensitive but not selective specially if you are living with in near area of any FM Transmitter, the signal may spread throughout the whole dial,Build quality is good enough and portable too...so if you are living in rural area and want portability then this radio may suite you...

Works well. I used it in India . Hence, had to take a voltage converter. Buy it if you don't need high sound but are using it for a single room or personal use...
