Excellent
Excellent faucet for the bathroom, very easy to install, and very good pressure.

Not a quality product
This is a poorly designed faucet. There is a seam from the spout to the body of the faucet, so the spout moves not in a way that you want it to move. It’s loose. I’ve bought Grohe before and loved the product. This is not worth purchasing.

Great faucet, quick installation, usual Grohe quality
I like this faucet quite a bit. It feels great to use, and feels like great quality materials that will last a long time. The cartridge is easily accessible in case you need to do maintenance or replace it in the future. Many parts of this are customizable as well. For instance, if you do not want it to swivel, or want to change how much it swivels, you can rotate the swivel bushing to a couple discrete conditions. If you want even more options, Grohe sells additional bushings with different angles. Or, if you want to change the water temperature range, you can also do that via the cartridge. Grohe finishes do clean up very nicely, and I don't expect this to be any different than what I expect from the brand.Installation is very straightforward for anyone who has ever changed a faucet before. You don't really need to read the directions, but it is helpful to do in order to see all the adjustments you can make. The instructions are mostly in diagram format and not much text. The quick-install bracket is quite nice and does speed installation. Just make sure you have the right socket on hand (13mm) plus some socket extensions so your socket wrench has clearance underneath your sink bowl. The installation nut on this faucet is a bit strange -- it is like a wide threaded nut where they drilled a larger hole slightly off axis. This allows you to push the nut through the majority of the threaded rod without actually turning it, then you straighten it out and engage the threads for the final tightening. I am sure it's not as strong as a full threaded nut, but I don't think the compromised nut strength is an issue for this application.Another nice touch I don't see many people mention is the adjustable aerator. You can push it around to change the angle the water is coming out of the faucet to customize it to your sink.An extra bonus is that this does come with the drain adapter and stopper. I was not expecting that, given how Grohe likes to charge for every accessory, but was pleasantly surprised to see it included!

Love the modern look!
I finally finished replacing all of my faucets with Grohe to match my Grohe towel bars. I am a big fan of Grohe at this point and if I ever move into a newly built house, I will request all Grohe fixtures. This faucet feels sturdy and well built. I like the modern handle, which is similar on all three of my faucets.I had a professional install my faucet. It took him about 45 minutes to install. If you're handy, you can probably install it yourself, but I am not handy, so I had a professional install it.The one thing I don't like about this faucet and my other Grohe bathroom faucet is the handle to raise/lower the sink stopper. It comes out slightly too far for a comfortable fit directly behind the faucet and the plumber had to turn it slightly to get it to fit (seep pictures). I ended up taking it off of my other faucet and I still might take this one off too. I had these counters installed years ago to work with my old faucets. I'm not sure if others had this issue. My countertops seem standard, so I don't know if the issue is that Grohe is not standard or my countertops aren't standard. I don't think you're supposed to be able to see it and so Grohe didn't make it look nice.I only had this faucet installed a few days ago, so I can't comment on its durability. My other two faucets were installed 10 months ago and I haven't had a problem with them. I hope it's the same for this faucet.

Quality / Damage
The spray nozzle on the faucet came already damaged, with water flow not running vertically down, but under an angle to vertical When I tried to remove and reinstall, I noticed that the thread was damagedPlease send a new nozzle ASAP

Elegant, smooth action, high quality
This is the second Grohe Essence faucet I have installed. I have one in my downstairs bathroom that I put in some four or five years ago, and the old and new faucets seem identical with the exception of the drain stopper. In the older model the stopper's body was metal and the lift rod goes into a hole, not allowing removal. The new one uses a plastic body with the more typical stem that allows you to choose between captive and non-captive.The faucet is easy to install, though the wordless pictogram instructions can be a bit difficult to decipher. I like that the under-sink clamp uses a clever bolt and nut system that you can tighten with a 13mm wrench. The only part of the installation that gave me trouble was snapping in the U-clip that holds the spout in place. The legs of the clip have to sit inside a slot on the back of the faucet body and then you push it in. The clip kept popping out on me, but I eventually got it to stay. Don't overlook the clip, which is in with the swivel-limiter in a plastic sheet rubber-banded around one end of the spout. That swivel limiter can be set to prevent the spout from swiveling at all, to limit to 90 or 150 degrees, or not used for no limit. When connecting the fixed supply hoses, note that the hoses kink easily if twisted too much.In operation, the faucet control is smooth and easy to adjust. I like that the aerator can swivel a bit with a push of a finger to direct the stream where you want it.With this latest faucet, we now have all-Grohe fixtures in both bathrooms, including a Grohtherm shower valve that has delivered good service for nearly 30 years. I like the quality of Grohe and seek it out when shopping.
