Battery life will depend on the vehicle, running conditions, and how heavy you are the the throttle. On an average 1/10 scale truck, it will last from 10 - 20 minutes. Get the brand name one to save from fires

I bout a cheap Chinese knockoff and never believed when people said they can catch fire… we’ll never again will I buy knock off batteries. House almost caught fire in the middle of the night. Never had a problem with the original stuff. Pay more now to save later. Thankful my son woke up to the smoke and cracking and zapping of the fire.
