Works great! Love it!
Easy to use right out of the box! Clean up was easy and no hassle. Makes huge waffles! I had an older one that broke after 20-30 years, replaced it with a cheaper one that works but is slow and only made 2 square waffles at a time. This machine made them bigger and faster! When the waffle is done cooking the ready light comes on and beeps 5 times to let you know it's done if you are not nearby. Volume was almost as loud as the beeps on a microwave. So far used it once and loved it! Will look forward to using it more and more! Good find!P.S. - didn't use the recipes in the booklet, used my own modified recipe (which is always best in my opinion). I like to use fruit in my waffles (picture was of banana waffles) and the fruit didn't stick to the machine, which was a plus! I give this machine a 5/5.

Ace product
Works great! Definitely a keeper. The ability to adjust the temperature is awesome, allowing each person to get the perfect waffle, whether soft & light or crisp & fluffy.

Read the instructions and you’ll be fine!
I was expecting to have to do a lot of trial and error but my first waffle came out great! Read the instructions, people! I used krusteaz pancake mix with their recipe on the bag for waffles (add egg, water, oil). Then I plugged in the unit, turned the knob to between 4-5, and while it’s heating up the batter has a few minutes to settle. When the unit beeped indicating it was to temp, I brushed oil on the iron plates and poured a little more than 1c batter in and evened it with a heat safe spatula. Pro tip: use a liquid measuring cup for this part!I left it closed until it beeped and then even kept it closed a few more seconds. Then gently opened and a perfect waffle emerged. It was a tad soft for my taste so I did the next one on 5 and it came out great. The last one I only filled 3 of the 4 waffle quarters because that’s how much batter I had left and it turned out perfect also!Pro tip: If you have the top of your waffle only partly golden or mostly white *you’re not using enough batter* and it’s not reaching the top of the iron when it rises.I’ve only used this once but so far have observed no weakness in the handle. I’m wondering if other reviewers’ units were damaged in shipping or were dropped.---Edited to update after owning for 1 year:I still really love this waffle maker and it works great, per my initial review. Now I double the Krusteaz recipe (4c mix, 3c cold water, 2 eggs, 1/4c oil) and it makes about 5.5 waffles. Leftovers freeze great and need just a few minutes in the toaster oven to crisp perfectly. My handle is still intact, and I'm not bothered by the fact that it gets hot (it's an iron!). Clean up is fine since I always brush the plates with a little oil between each waffle. Buy this guy, or if you're afraid it's a knockoff buy directly from Cuisinart or a big box store. I'd buy it again. Zero regrets.

Works well
Works as intended. Simple to use. Makes good waffles without all of the expensive bells and whistles. Expensive doesn't always mean better. Gets the job done.

Perfect waffles - every time
This is an excellent waffle maker. It makes 8 1/4" Belgian waffles which are not too thick, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Waffles can be easily split into 4 quarter pieces. The browning control dial range is from 1 to 6. I use a setting around 5 and it makes perfectly crisp and uniformly baked waffles every time. Plates cannot be removed, but they are "very" non-stick and easy to clean. WAF-200 can be stored upright to save space, and cord can be store around the base.I tried the Oster flip-style waffle maker (Oster CKSTWFBF10WC-ECO DuraCeramic Flip Waffle Maker) before this one and I couldn't get it to make crisp waffles even at the highest temperature setting and cooking was very non-uniform. The WAF-200 appears to have a better, uniform heating system as well as higher quality fit and finish. Here's the basic recipe I use that makes really great waffles every time:- 3/4 cup all purpose flour- 1/4 cup cornstarch- 1/4 tsp salt- 1/2 tsp baking powder- 1/4 tsp baking soda- 1 cup milk (or 1 cup almond milk if you want to make dairy-free waffles)- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (I use avocado oil)- 2 small eggs (or one extra large egg)- 1 Tbs sugar- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract0. Set the waffle maker to 5 (or your desired browning setting) and let it preheat1. Mix the dry ingredients (except sugar) in a bowl2. Mix the wet ingredient (and sugar) in another bowl. (I use a mixer for this step)3. Add the wet mix to the dry mix and whisk until just mixed (do not overmix)4. Pour batter uniformly to the waffle maker so that the peaks are just covered (it takes about a cup)5. Bake until the waffle maker beepsThis recipe makes exactly two 8 1/4" waffles in the WAF-200

Made well. Diffrent darkness settings. Quality.
It made perfect Belgian Liege sugar waffles on setting 3. I like that the darkness of the waffles can be decided by me!!
