Cake came out very easily - cooked evenly. Expensive but I'm very pleased. I have other Nordicware items and I know this will last for years.

I ordered the 8 inch cake tin after reading such positive customer reviews. This has produced a superb sponge cake for my daughter’s birthday. The tin is heavier than cheaper tins and as other customers have said, it does take a little longer to bake the cake, but this did not prove to be a problem.The cake has straight sides which mean the sponge comes out perfectly. The sponge was light and moist and it rises perfectly whilst in the oven. I will be buying other sizes and despite this being expensive, it’s worth the extra money.

Received the tin that is discoloured and stain all over the tin. I am not sure how quality control team let such a poor quality item from a very respectable brand to be sent out to customers.

I was very excited to get this tin as I have heard great things from Nordic Ware. The tin came with a strange scratch mark on the top as if it has been used before. Super disappointed to receive a damaged item for this price.

Sturdy tins with even heat distribution. Far superior to the non-stick ones I’ve been using (and replacing) for years. These should last a very long time.

I bought two of these pans because I had some very old ones that, although in great condition, were only 1-½” high. Most new recipes call for 2” high pans and this is actually 2-½” high.The pan is well made and heavier duty than its main competitor. Unlike its competitors, it’s made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. It did a great job baking. The cake came out of the greased pan, very nicely. This particular pan is described as being uncoated aluminum with natural nonstick performance, Another variation is advertised as actually having a nonstick interior.I feel I have to respond to many of the negative reviews. Too many complaints are NOT the fault of the manufacturer. The purpose of reviews is to help people who are considering purchasing the product to decide. As usual with many negative reviews on Amazon, there are complaints that have to do with damage from shipping as well as other things unrelated to the actual quality or performance of the product. I have purchased Nordic Ware from other sellers and never had a damaged product. Amazon is responsible for packaging the products and not shipping anything that was damaged. After that, damage is due to the shipper. Additionally, some of the reviews are for other products, so worthless. There are also negative reviews resulting from not reading the instructions and/or improper use of the pan—not the fault of the manufacturer.Several reviewers found fault with the pan discoloring in the dishwasher. One recent reviewer claimed there were no washing details unless the writing was “microscopic”. On the same page as this pan on Amazon, there is a Use and Care section that specifically advises to hand wash and not to put aluminum pans in the dishwasher or they will discolor. This is true for all aluminum pans. There was also a large cardstock insert with use and care instructions in fairly large print, that was as wide as the pan and literally stuck to the inside of the pan The reviewer who said no such instructions existed, must have just thrown this away without reading.This is a high quality product that performs well when used as recommended.

Perfect for what I want and needed

So far great product. I've only used parchment paper when cooking so I can't rate the product on how it cleans up.

I was researching cake pans (as you do), and Serious Eats had tested and rated a whole bunch of pans. This pan was the top pick for an 8” cake pan. They are a bit pricier than many of the alternatives but I decided to buy a couple and give them a try. I have to agree with Serious Eats; these pans are the bomb! I baked 4 cakes and they all cooked perfectly. I used parchment in the bottom of the pans (discovering you can buy pre-cut parchment discs was life changing— why did I never think to search for those before?) but I digress…… so I lined the base of the pans. When cooked the sides of the cake had pulled away just enough that the cakes released easily. These produced nice, evenly baked cakes. No hard, burnt pieces on the edges. Cake perfection.
