Everything but oil to service your Generac 10, 14 or 18KW generator for Schedule B
The kit contains 2 Champion RC14YC plugs (USA), an OEM Oil Filter (070185E) (India), an OEM air filter (India), and a disposable funnel and towel. The 816cc engine needs a spark plug gap of 0.020". The plugs do not come pre-gapped. You will need a gapping tool and measurement device. Make sure it includes the correct width. The Generac OEM filters emit a nasty odor that smells like an LED bulb that is going bad. I keep my extras in the garage. Other oil filters typically do not.You don't need to use the Generac Oil 5w-20 oil. I used Mobil 1 EP 0w-20 oil which I had on hand. The are also automotive oil filter alternatives by Fram, AC Delco, Toyota, Bosch, Napa, etc. (see the manufacturer cross reference). The air filters are harder to find.I had to change my oil and filter, air filter, and plugs during an extended power outage after 200 hours. The process took about an hour, but much of that was waiting for the unit to cool down. The oil should be warm or it will not flow well. It took about 10 minutes for it to drain completely from the small hose. The old filter leaked a lot of oil when removed (it is mounted horizontally, so make sure to have a catch pan. We used a grease pan from our grill which fit perfectly. The oil looked very clean, not surprising from a natural gas engine. The old air filter looked brand new and the old spark plugs were very clean too. Changing the parts was cheap insurance, so I did it.Make sure to run your generator on manual for 30 min or so a few times during the winter or the oil may turn cloudy from water / nitrates in the oil.The local dealer charges about $250 for this service, parts were about $40 total including the oil. It was much easier than expected.

Excellent value
This generic kit saves time and trouble trying to source the contents individually. Every annual service item is included except the readily available oil. Good deal all around and a very fair price.

Perfect for 14 kW Generac
The dealer wanted close to 300.00 to perform maintenance on my in-laws 14kW standby generator. This kit and the oil was closer to 60.00 and the maintenance was quite simple to do.Spark plugs were pre-gapped, so it is a simple swap. The hardest part was getting the oil filter off, which IMHO had been tightened a bit much by the previous dealer maintenance crew.I would buy this kit again.

Check your engine model first
Everything in this kit is quality and a great price. I have a 14kw Generac, but didn't check the air filter first assuming they were all the same. Apparently my generator is an older model and used the round cylindrical air filters (used on the older cars) and not the rectangular one you see on all the how-to videos. Other than now having a useless filter, the plugs, oil filter, rag, funnel, etc all were used without issue. Just open your lid and check the type of engine in your Generac first.

Just what you need.
It is a service kit that has all you need. Except oil, that is. Add in a couple quarts of oil and you are in. I consider it cheap insurance.
