It exceeded my expectations, the tip is actually sharper than the product image implies.
I ordered this product because I recently bought a titanium keychain style/sized folding scalpel, which is the Nitecore NTK05, also available on Amazon and since that product uses replaceable #11 scalpel blades, I knew I'd eventually need/want to replace the blade when it became dull. Anyway, I didn't have big expectations from these blades because if you notice in the 4th picture (at the time of writing this review, they might change it by the time you're reading this) the blade looks as if it bends downward at the tip and it looks as if the tip is squared off, fatter and not sharp. As you can see from the pictures I took, this is not the case. The face of the blade is sharp from the base all the way to the tip! It's not squared off at all, it's not wider and it certainly isn't dull as it appears on the product pictures. I just cropped the 2nd picture and added it to the end so you can see the tip zoomed in.Point is, this blade has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the purchase. These blades are sharp enough to shave, cut paper with ease and all those fun things that razor sharp blades can do, so they definitely pass the sharpness test. Are they the sharpest? No, my DE feather hi-stainless razor blades are significantly sharper, but those are strictly for shaving, so they HAVE to be as sharp as humanly possible. With that said, these are still sharp enough to be called "razor sharp" and since they're not as sharp as the feathers, they will hold their edge better so they'll be sharper for longer. I think it's a good compromise for this type of blade, I'd rather give up some sharpness in exchange for more consistent performance and longer blade life in between replacements. In conclusion, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and even surprised. I was not expecting such even sharpness and such a nice finish on the whole blade, from the base all the way to the tip. Definitely recommend buying these! At this price point, it's a no-brainer. Just grab a box, you won't regret it. I'd also recommend pairing these up with the NTK05 by Nitecore if you want a sharp blade on your keychain so you always have a blade at your disposal for that one time you randomly need a very sharp blade (could end up being many times, actually) They also make a full sized scalpel that's the NTK07, but be warned, it is not cheap. I will update this review to speak about the longevity/performance of the blades if I don't forget. :) I hope this review can help you make a decision!

Super-sharp with a nice point
For some reason, the picture of this product makes them look like the tip does not come to a sharp point. The seller should really fix that picture! Be assured that it DOES come to a fine point and the blades are very sharp! For things like removing blackheads and milla these are WAY better than using a needle. As long as you have a steady hand you can easily make a tiny cut and the blades are so sharp you will barely feel it.I would advise you to get a nice metal #3 scalpel handle to go with these. A good one will usually be less than $10 and will last pretty much forever. Small scalpel blades really can't be safely used without a handle so if you are putting them into a first aid kit make sure you include a handle too.Besides medical uses, scalpel blades and a handle are great replacements for "hobby knives". The getting started cost is similar but you get WAY more blades for the money with scalpels and they are WAY sharper. The only downsides compared to hobby knives is that scalpel blades are smaller, thinner and because they are hardened to get that fine edge, they will break easier. Because the blades are so cheap you can swap them more often and always have a sharp blade to work with.DO NOT try to use your fingers to put a scalpel blade onto a handle, you will cut yourself. Grab the back end of the blade with hemostats, small needle nose plyers or tweezers. Pull the blade slowly over the end of the handle so it slips into the slots on the side. Keep pulling till the blade is all the way onto the handle. When you let go, it should sit flat and be very secure. To remove the blade again grab the back, lift up a bit and slide forward. If this is your first time using scalpel blades, you don't need to put a lot of pressure on them to get them to cut, they are much thinner and sharper than hobby knives. Just don't try to use them to lift or pry with, they are made of hardened steel and could snap.

Exactly as described
Exactly how they were described!

Almost perfect, they just go dull quickly
My only complaint is that if you reuse these, they go dull relatively fast so you have to replace them somewhat often.

Pretty amazing deal considering the cost of first aid supplie
Ever since I read on a craft forum few years ago that it was both cheaper and more effective to use scalpels rather than X-Acto knives I have been buying number 10 and number 11 scalpel blades for craft work as well as first aid kits. There’s not much to say as almost all of the blades seem to be made of the same kind of carbon steel and come phenomenally sharp. I have some decent surgical quality handles better properly machined.I guess the most important characteristic is that there’s a few common problems that can show up with bad blades and none of them showed up here. They can be poorly packaged and they use were not. They can be difficult to put on a proper scalpel end. These installed quite easily. And lastly the blades can tend to split easily, and these have not been splitting. So take into account the cost for 100 of these which is amazingly reasonable considering the pandemic crisis and I am completely satisfied and even happy.Lastly a quick warning these things are considerably sharper that even the finest X-Acto and carving knives, so great care should be taken when installing them on the handle.

Great for the price!
These are excellent blades for the price for sure!I do leather work and do a lot of cutting. I just started using these blades recently and they are as sharp as they need to be and work out well! You have to know how to control the blade when you’re cutting but that’s with anything.
