It finally happened to me...got so excited because I thought I found exactly what I needed for my fun-gun, that I didn't read the specs all the way through....had it mounted to my MP5 (perfect fit and easy to attach), got ready to install my red dot sight....and DUH!!!! It wouldn't fit... slightly confused, I went back to my order, and it said it right there: Weaver-style!!!! After feeling stupid for a minute (or two!), I ordered another one made for Picatinny-style accessories...5 stars, because it shipped fast, looked and felt solid and of good quality, mounting it was easy...

Fits nicely on an MP5-22. Doesn't block the original iron sights. Build quality seems good. All metal. Good machining.Might need some thread lock on the screws. Hasn't come loose yet after a few hundred rounds. Better safe than sorry.This is a shorter rail so if you want a magnifying scope and red dot (SIG Romeo MSR?) it might not fit. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to mount there before I can really say. I'll edit my review in the future.

It looks good, has a low profile, and mounts solid on a full size MP5. That’s where the good ends. The rail is out of spec. The one I received was too wide to accept a sight. I couldn’t get an EOTECH or Sightmark to fit on the rail.

It works, but only for certain optics. Optics that have eye relief (as opposed to red dots, Eotechs, and similar) will have VERY limited area where they can be mounted. One of the cutouts in this mount has to be placed over the existing protrusion on the top of the GSG5, and it lines up perfectly with the mount cutouts on the receiver. The screws that come with a mount are TINY, and the mount will be sturdy enough for .22LR, but don't even think about mounting this to CETME, G3 or PTR. Since the rail has predetermined position on the receiver, the Eotech (512 in my case) sits too close to the charging handle. It's still operational (the charging handle), but I'd like to have more room there, and Eotech to sit further back, which is impossible. I guess for a .22LR plinker this mount is OK, and ten bucks doesn't buy you an ice cream today.

Nice, precise fitment. It was mildly tricky, but only took a few minutes. Mounted scope rings and two different rifle dot optics with zero issues. Quality is better than expected, would've easily paid more.
