It works!
These little straps really work! I have a travel bag that was always slipping from my shoulders through my walks in airports. The bag was nice and I really did not want to get rid of it but it slipped every second while walking until I adjusted one on these strips. Perfect! The bag stays in place now! Just what I needed!

Nice Idea but has its limitations
I purchased these gummy stick-ons to stop my lululemon cross body from slipping down. Not sure if it didn’t work b/c my bag was too heavy but it did not keep it in place. I think these would be perfect to keep a bag in place on your shoulder which is what they were designed for. The stick-on straps are made from soft, gummy-like materials and are comfortable on the skin. It blended well under the straps, offering a discreet and functional solution. Overall, gummy straps can be a good choice for people looking for practicality and comfort, but may not work as I had hoped.

Won't Stick, and Won't Stop Purse From Slipping...
I purchased these with high hopes that I wouldn't have to go to a more expensive solution. At first, the strips stayed adhered to my brand new purse's shoulder strap, but then one of them started to peel. I wasn't happy about that. I needed 2 straps on this purse b/c of the length of the shoulder strap. I don't want to glue the strips onto the bag as it's a new purse, rather expensive, and I just don't want to gum it up. I am using the third and last strip to put on the purse strap and hope it will stay in place. I have another new bag of the same kind for which I wanted to use the colorless strips and I'm hoping that the same thing doesn't happen there. I never got a chance to use them on the other purse, however. I purchased two different brands of double-sided tape to keep the strips on,hoping that the were a fluke, but that's one reason that I gave it one star. Even tese two indstrial strength double-sided tapes won't hold the strips on my shoulder bag, though the tape sticks quite well to my purse. I pulled off the black ones and started to apply the "colorless", but really white, strips with the double-sided tape to start. Nothing works. The strips won't stick to ANYTHING. Another reason that I gave it one star is that the strips, while they are adhering at first, are only moderately good at keeping the purse strap on my shoulder. Sometimes it's great, and other times, it just slips right off. I have wasted my money in purchasing these strips along with the double-sided tapes when a slightly more expensive solution would have done, one which I got for my computer case strap that works fantastically well and was only a few dollars more. I wanted to save money and these strips would have saved me a decent amount if they adhered to the purse. In the end, I'm getting another non-slip strap, and removing these strips from my purse. I'm extremely disappointed in these strips.

Kinda works......
For me this product was a great idea, but did not work too well. My purse, which is not very large does slip on slick winter coats. The weather is now cold enough to wear those coats so I applied a purse gummy to the back of my purse strap. It adhered very well to the purse strap, however my purse still slips off my shoulder - just more slowly.

Awesome gadget
Does exactly as it says. Don’t even know it’s on there. Very pleased with my purchase.

Maybe it only works well on purses? Didn’t work out for my backpack.
Purse Gummy Original-This is billed as a non-slip strip for your purse shoulder strap. You know, to keep the purse from sliding off your shoulder when you’re racing through the airport, shopping at the store with the kids pulling your arms out, or trying to get situated in the cramped restroom stall at the public bathrooms? Now I don’t happen to own any purses, but I do have briefcases, messenger bags and backpacks galore, each with a shoulder strap that sometimes stays put and sometimes allows the bag to slip down and wrench my arm and ring my bell at the same time!I went looking for a cure for the slipping shoulder strap by purchasing the Original Gummy. There was Black or Clear to choose from....Now since my favorite backpack is Orange, I went with the clear straps.A little traveler tip here- if you’re going to be traveling with others and you know you’re going to be walking amongst crowds of people, a brightly colored travel bag will help your people pick you out of a crowd. This is especially useful if you have little ones. There MIGHT be 100 people out on the day I’m traveling who are ALSO rocking an orange backpack, but that’s THOUSANDS LESS people that my family has to search through to find me! (Now back to the review)So when the Purse Gummys arrived, I was very surprised to find that the color choice of “CLEAR” wasn’t really clear at all! The padded strip is made of a flexible plastic like material, but it is backed with an opaque white which might be the adhesive on the back! So really, this color should more accurately be described as WHITE! Don’t get this thinking anything other than a white strap will blend in. You can choose this product in black or white...that’s it. Now in fairness, the product sticks to the side of the strap that is not meant to be seen since it’s against your body...but still! (Please see the photos for how they look on my orange strap)Applying the gummy strips couldn’t have been any easier. I used alcohol antiseptic pads to wipe the strap surface down. ( believe me, cleaning and degreasing dirt, sweat and body oil before applying anything adhesive will save you headache and heartache) I peeled the backing paper from the gummy and placed the strip where I wanted it on my strap. Smoothed it into place by hand, and it showed total adhesion. Done! The slip test- since this gummy strip really has one job and one job only....I tested it’s non-slip performance with my orange pack!I started with the pack empty and added a medium book and shouldered it. I added one book each time to gradually get to a full backpack and testing the non-slip strap along the way.Now I know it’s a “backpack” but like many people, I most often “one strap it.” I rarely use both shoulder straps. Hence wanting something that will keep my “one strap” from sliding off! That’s where I thought a product made for purse straps would work.Soooo- it didn’t work. At least not for me and my backpack. Oddly enough, the gummy is really smooth and slick to the touch. The gummy gave me no greater gripping power to my backpack strap than without it.I am just guessing that the flexible quality of the gummy strip MIGHT give helpful padding to a narrow purse strap, but since my pack straps are already padded, I felt no added benefit there either. And adding that the white color not working out for me either, the Original Purse Gummy won’t be useful for me.In fairness, this might work better for someone with a narrow purse strap. Also, the adhesive seems to have good holding power. So what to do next with my slippery pack strap? I’m thinking I’m going to get a strip of Velcro (the rough “hook” side) and stick it to my strap. I don’t know if the rough Velcro will cause enough friction to prevent the strap from slipping, but I’ll give it a try!If you’ll excuse me, I’ll need to search Amazon for 2 inch wide Velcro!
