Gets the job done
This string trimmer is light weight and easy to handle. I enjoyed trimming my lawn however the battery only lasted about 20 minutes. I would recommend additional batteries for sizeable jobs. I loved that can also be converted to an edger.

Black and Decker battery operated string trimmer
This trimmer works great for me! Only weighs weighs 5lb. is easy to assemble and also easy for me to handle. The string comes out automatically. I used it 2 times already and the battery was still working after 1 hr. each time. I use it to trim around the house and sidewalk. I try to go easy on it by not getting to close to the brick concrete or metal poles etc. I was really impressed with this trimmer I believe the handle is also adjustable although I didn't need to do that. My husband is happy because he doesn't have to use his trimmer so much. I'm happy because I like to trim around the house before everything gets too tall :) Great price also!

Works Great but Needs Bigger Battery
I just got this last night and put it together and used it for the first time on my yard today. I only did edging since that's what needed done the most. I have 1/4 acre lot and not a very big yard and I couldn't even get all of the edging done just on the front yard with this 20v battery! It definitely needs a 40v battery to do even a smaller or medium sized yard. I'm happy with the weed eater otherwise. It's been the best one for a woman to assemble and operate overall in my opinion. I hate dealing with gas trimmers and edgers as they are too much maintenance and harder for a woman to maintain and operate and troubleshoot. I'm recently divorced so I needed something easy and light weight to operate and this is definitely it. I also love the automatic spooling!! The issue I've had with the last Hart electric weed eater was the spooler sucked and between me and my ex husband, neither of us could get it spooled properly or keep it spooling properly. I ended up throwing it out. I've been through 2 weed eaters and an edger and this is by far the best one for the buck so far in my opinion. It just needs a longer lasting battery.

Deceptive beast!
So, I’m female, 5’2” tall, 70 years old, and hate manual labor.I live in a spot in the country carved out of brush and very determined, successful weeds. My weeds aren’t the kind that pop up in the putting green-style suburban lawns. Mine are angry, tough, and used to doing whatever the heck they want. They are the Viking invaders of weeds. They will grab your foot while you’re looking at them and try to wrap you up and drag you into the brush. So I have no choice but to go to battle with them lest the cover, grab, and move my house into the woods.I had my doubts about this weed eater. Since it’s battery powered and lightweight, I wondered if it was a glorified toy.Rest assured it is not. It’s a deceptive beast.I’ve had my share of weed eaters in the never ending endeavor. Name brand, gas powered, weighed about like a cooler full of beer, deafening, taller than me, and inevitably surrender to the weeds. So, I did my due diligence on yet another weed eater, aka money pit, and this one seemed to be the best buzz for the buck.Boy, was I right!First, it’s lightweight! I can easily use it for an hour without breaking my back. The adjustable shaft length and handle position enabled me to fit it to my height and stubby arms.It also self-feeds the string. Excellent innovation. Not once has it clogged or tangled and I didn’t have to continually smack its head on the ground to get it to play nice.It chews through weeds like they are cotton candy. Clean cuts, really fast. Finally, the battery rocks. I’ve run it for an hour and it hasn’t quit on me yet. Recharges in about 15 minutes. And is a breeze to snap on and off. Also, it’s a Black & Decker and the battery fits my B&D leaf blower! On a side note, I have the large B&D humane critter trap and it’s the best. Doesn’t even need a battery.I am so pleased, I was looking for new weeds to buzz just to watch them die.Highly recommend!

Brand names are sometimes the best.
Sometimes buying a brand name is best. I tried an offbrand cordless and it did not work well at all. So I went back to buying a brand name that I’ve used before and not had a problem with. Totally worth the money. This unit works excellently. Easy to set up. Easy to operate. Does exactly what it says. It does in the description.

Very effective and battery lasts about half an hour or more.
The handle took a bit to get use to as my older B&D weeder had a set handle that jutted out about half the distance of this one. I do like this handle is adjustable, but it has slipped a couple of times and isn't as easy to hold when the weed eater is flipped up right to do detailed trimming down the drive way .. when cutting straight lines... could be that that's not something done as often and Maybe I'll get use to it.I will say this battery holds up longer and keeps more of its power... instead of a slower speed in the last 5 or 7 minutes.. leaving gapped blades of grass instead of clean cuts the higher speed yields. This one seems lighter also. One con is I liked the metal clip that could be folded out or aligned next to the motor... to get closer or out setting like a bump stop when edging.. this one doesn't move .. unless when part of one slips back about half an inch... so now it is of no use really.. as it is not well made or as secure as the last one... in both of it's locations. ( once it was set it stayed in place) the latest one... not so much.
