I have read the entire bible ten times...different versions, english and spanish, and recently in the last two years, bibles with hebrew integration. I really want to know who YHVH is.I have gone from one church to another in search of truth, and just when I think I've found truth, (mind you, I've been asking the Lord in prayer to lead me to His truth and to not let me fall into spiritual dormancy nor into men's doctrines), the Lord pulls me in a different direction.Pastors don't seem to have the answers for my questions, and then, often times strive to instill an explanation not coherent with the Bible. A lot of our spiritual ignorance is due to pastors misleading us, but it's also our fault for not reading the Word consistently and year after year.It was because of evangelical pastors that I wouldn't read the Book of Enoch, and they are the reason also that I became a "judge" against it. Brian Godawa along with Michael Heiser have made see biblical interpretation through the Book of Enoch's explanation...now I understand more of the mysteries surrounding the SONS OF GOD, AZAZEL, THE NEPHILIM, THE FORBIDDEN ARTS, THE FLOOD, BABEL, THE 70 NATIONS, etc.I can't thank them enough for their insight.

The End of the Age from a biblical perspective
Have you ever wondered why God would shroud in mystery one of the most important subjects contained in the Holy Scriptures, the End Times? The rapture, the implantation of the mark of the beast, and all the other fantastical political alignments regurgitated ad infinitum in the gospel according to The Late Great Planet Earth adherents are just not found in our Scripture. The Scriptures are clear to those who use proper exegesis in the bible's intended context, a supernatural context. No scriptural gymnastics are necessary when scripture is studied in the proper context. Brian Godawa has done just that. Very well researched, written, and refreshingly clear and understaable. I am much more knowledgeable about actual end times events, and the sons of God after reading this wonderful book. I pray its reach spans the globe to enlighten the world to the authenticity of Scripture and the Salvation offered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Starts great and them moves out into left field!
The author starts well with some of his study of Psalm 82. He obviously loves God and loves to dig out scripture. I commend him for that. He brings out some good ideas and possible explanations to this mysterious psalm that many would agree with him about. As a pastor and a student of scripture I appreciate that. Now the negative: Towards the end of the book, especially the last two chapters, he tends to flounder in his belief of Satan's influence in our culture under the New Covenant; then seems to be unsure whether he believes supernatural evil is or is not impacting the culture of today as much as under the Old Covenant. The author's diminishing of Paul's warning, in Eph.6, of what we are wrestling with, saying that passage is no longer valid, (since 70 AD at least) was strange, if not wacky. It was reminiscent of those who say that other passages from the New Testament, (eg, I Cor12,14, etc.), are invalid since the time of the first century of Christ or 70 AD!!! Overall I give the book three stars and is worth the read, even though the concluding chapters tend to flounder.

End of Days
This was an excellent lesson on the transitional period from the old covenant to the new. I had not realized that period was viewed by the early church fathers as "the end of Days" for the old covenant. It makes sense. The book was clear, well written, and thought-provoking. I'm not sure I agree with the author's take on the role of demons in our present time. I worked thirty five years as a psychiatric nurse and I can state from experience that there are the mentally sick, and the evil sick that are far beyond just evil. Scripture says that God turns certain sinners over to a reprobate mind. Toward the end of the book, I wanted the writer to continue - what about thyue war in heaven described in Revelation? The devil and his angels are cast out of heaven; is that still in the future? What about the angels released from the Euphrates River that go forth to kill? As I said, this book answered a lot of my questions, but caused many more. One thing about it, I was really glad that I had already read some of Michael Heiser's books.

Excellent
Godawa has put together an excellent theological treatise on the Deuteronomy 32 world view as espoused by Dr. Michael Hauser as well as the subject of the Divine Council. This book really helped me piece together a lot of my own struggles with how all of this fits into the Biblical narrative and the here and now that we live in as Christ followers. I've already purchased his book on End Times Prophecy so I can keep diving into this author / theologian's awesome work.

and I would have liked to see some details of the topic addressed more ...
This was a very thoughtful and biblical handling of one of the trickier biblical subjects that is typically fodder for all kinds of wild speculation, gnostic interpretive twisting, and sensationalism. I've read a number of such books because the topic fascinates me, but this was the first one that carefully handled the difficult biblical topic within a coherent Christian understanding that does not fly in the face of the ancient teachings and traditions of the Faith. There is certainly grounds for some speculation, and I would have liked to see some details of the topic addressed more in depth (like whether the traditional association of the divine Watchers with angels is too simplistic, since angels don't have flesh and cannot reproduce), but I suppose that is work for another book. As it stands, this was a good, well-presented, succinct treatment of the topic.

Could NOT put it down!
This book ties together a lot of verses in the Bible that were confusing to me before. If you've ever been reading the Bible and had a moment of "that sounds crazy! What is it talking about?" then this book is for you.I would sum this book up as a worldview from a Heavenly perspective.

The Biblical Unseen Realm Summarized
This is a good summation of the Divine Council worldview as put forward by such scholars as Michael Heiser, who is referrenced extensively herein. Heiser's book "Unseen Realm" has a shorter counterpart, "Supernatural;" but if you are looking for something even shorter than that, this is a great option. It's a good one to lend to people.
