Exactly what it says it is ... and that's a good thing!
This is a very straight forward training guide on how to use resistance bands. (duh!) . I say this only to emphasize the fact that it does exactly what it says it does in the title. No fluff in here. I liked the clear explanations of the exercises and the different types of exercises for each body part. What was also good was how the authors provided example exercise routines to match your goal (building muscle, losing weight, gaining strength). It did have some motivation aspects to it, but since it's roots come from a military training guide, it was much less, "rah, rah" and much more instructional, which is exactly what I was looking for in a resistance band exercise guide. I've been using it for about two months and I see and feel the results.

There are not many books on band training
You cannot find many books on band training. This is quite complete and with good illustrations.

Seems very good but can't read the workout sheets
This is a very good book but it's very difficult to read the workout sheets. Even displaying it on a 42" monitor I still can't make out the training sheets. The text of the actual book is fine - it's just the workout sheets - they are pictures rather than text. If they had a web site where these could be viewed/printed that would be perfect.

One of the best books on resistance band training I have seen so far. The variety of exercises and the choice of postures (sitting, standing, etc.) make this an essential book to own for the resistance band/resistance tubing enthusiast.

Rubber Tube workouts...EXCELLENT Guide
I am just starting to use this and let me tell you, getting back in shape is a lot harder that staying in shape. I have a long row to hoe.

These exercises are good, but I was hoping for more variety related to the different muscle groups. Still the exercises are well presented.

Time for exercise
A favorite. Can work in short routines on the go due to portability of bands. Can especially do on work lunch breaks. Time to exercise no longer an obstacle.

Not just resistance band manual, this book tells you everything you need to know to become both fit and healthy!
What can I say about this book? For a start it is not marketed correctly. This is not just a resistance manual (though a large part of it is). This book takes you through absolutely everything you need to know to change your lifestyle and become both fit and healthy. I have spent the last 5 months reading lots of different books and websites and here it is, all in one book, straightforward and easy to understand without the politics or need to quote this research study and that. It talks about glycemic index, portion sizes, components of food, which foods to eat, which to avoid, how to calculate how many calories you need, bmi, diet and exercise based on your body type, etc, etc. Everything you need is clearly and concisely presented, no frills!As for the resistance training. Lots of photos and advice about how to use the band and how to design your own workout. I have been using a dvd for a few weeks and made good progress but I am now ready to think about individual exercises and what these can do for me. In this book, you will see which part of your body is exercised and how to go about it. There are lots of charts in the appendices as well for tracking your progress. My only complaint is that this book is only sold on Kindle which makes it difficult to flick back and fore between the different exercises.All in all, a very good buy for anyone wanting to transform their life, whether in terms of nutrition or resistance training, weight loss or fitness.

I purchased this book because I was considering using resistance bands as a cheap and portable alternative to my gym. I couldn't have imagined how informative it was going to be. Never before have I seen such a comprehensive guide to different routines using resistance bands as well as nutrition, goal setting and how to eat for my body type. I now use bands in every workout and am feeling stronger, fitter and more confident after only 2 weeks. This will revolutionise your training and is perfect for anyone looking to condition their body and work towards a healthier lifestyle. I would give 6 starts if I could.
