Pencil by FiftyThree replacement tip and eraser(53T003)

I was given the pencil caps as a gift but the pencil comes with a spare and the product is so good, I am still using the original one on my pencil after daily use. I do have the soft leather case for the pencil, which I am sure has helped keep the pencil and it's parts in good shape, regardless of the products great quality.I use the pencil daily for work mistly documents and such and also recreationally for art designs.

The sad fact with many Styluses is the tips wear out and until I can upgrade to an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil, the 53 Pencil is the only stylus I have had success with on the iPad Air 2. These tips are very high quality and withstand months of use for notes and drawing.

8/04/17: Update on price from Pencil by 53:Our online shop is closed as we sold out of Pencils and are deciding whether or not to make more. That opened up the door for lots of opportunistic (greedy) folks to sell tips for ridiculously inflated prices. It's really frustrating and if we had a way to shut those sellers down we would.I love my Pencil by 53. The replacement tips would be expensive if I were an artist but I'm not, I use it more for writing down ideas and memories and as a stylus. I did take my Pencil by 53 into the Apple store with me and compared it to the use of the Apple pen, and there's no need for me to change my ways yet as my pencil did just as much as the Apple pen did. I did not have a chance to check against all apps, but for example in Excel, the Apple pen allows you to highlight a cell but not write in it. My pencil did the same. I imagine as apps become more integrated with the Apple pen, there will be more of a difference later.Also, putting on a new pencil tip is great as it really flows again.

Pencil by 53 is one of the most gorgeous yet functional stylus in the market. My only complaint would be the tip which tends to wear out quickly if you are a heavy user like me (4 - 6 hours usage a day). I didn't mind paying for the replacement tips, but the recent price surge is ridiculous. Pricing a pack of replacement tips at 44% of the stylus itself (which comes with a pack of replacement tips) is absurd! Please do not treat your existing customers like cash cows - it makes it difficult for me to buy your product again in future.

The tips work fine! I was surprised that I had to replace them so quickly after I bought the "pencil", until I realized that a child had applied extreme pressure to the original tip causing it to wear through. If one is gentle in using these pencils, I think the tips will last a reasonably long time. I do wish they were thicker rubber, though, so they would be more durable.

one of the tips was defective. and by the time it was time for me to change the tip, the return window had already closed :(it made this clicking, sticking noise every time i pressed down and the tip would would kind of drag my line in an unintended way. the other one was fine, though. it responded the way i expected. so i'm not sure who to be bothered by, amazon or fiftythree. maybe fiftythree, 'cause this just sorta seems like a quality issue. but i kinda stinks that i JUST missed the return window...

While I wish the tips were a little more durable (I begin to feel the wear after a couple of weeks and replace them after a month), at $4 each it's not too bad. I enjoy using the Pencil enough that it's worth it to me over a cheaper stylus with simpler tips.

Really like this pencil. It feels good in my hand and works great as pencil with Paper app and as a stylus with my iPad Pro. What was really impressive was the customer service from Jason. I had a minor problem with the eraser and Jason responded very quickly with a personalized detailed response that enabled me to solve the problem. Very much appreciated!
