Best book ever
I’m using this daily and love the phases of improvement. Exercises are great and I’m at my own pace vs with a therapist. Arm is no longer frozen and I’m only in phase 2. Written well and a wonderful resource.

Good exercises
I have done some of the exercises, mainly the ones that employ stretch bands. The exercises are easy to understand and follow. I bought stretch bands for less than $10.00 dollars. The exercises are helping my shoulder to improve.

HEALING MY FROZEN SHOULDER
After having an unsuccessful rotator cuff shoulder surgery in Dec 2016. I developed frozen shoulder and was told by my doctor in April 2017 that I would require another surgery to relief the condition, pain and regain movement. I asked what the success rate of this surgery would be and he said 60%. I did not like those odds so started to search on my own for an alternative. One of my first stops was Amazon to educate myself. I found this book which had just been published in Jan. 2017. I started the protocol and exercises laid out and started seeing results within the first week. I am now 3 months in and have regained about 60% use of my arm and the pain is very manageable and I am sleeping through the night. It is truly a miracle. The exercises are presented in a way that is easy to follow and for each specific phase of frozen shoulder. This is a long recover, up to 3 to 5 years but this book has given me hope and without a doubt done better than another surgery.

You Don't Need This Book
Go to your local schoolyard with monkey bars and reach up to one that's over your head and which gets you off the ground an inch or two, and passively hang from it for 2 minutes. Do this daily for 2 weeks. Presto chango, no more frozen shoulder. (It will hurt alot at first, but you have to bear through it).

Good collection of physical therapy exercises
Good collection of shoulder PT exercises. It would probably work even better if I used it more often. :)

It works!
I had been suffering from shoulder pain for over a year. I had been to my chiropractor and he helped my neck, but unfortunately my shoulder pain was getting progressively worse instead of better. Because I had unsatisfactory experiences in the past with orthopedic doctors and physical therapists I was reluctant to spend the time and money and go to a doctor. So, I thought I would try self help and I found this book on Amazon. The description of what constitutes a frozen shoulder matched my condition exactly. The exercises and stretches seemed like they weren't going to do anything at first because they are so simple and easy. But, within less than a week of starting the program I was noticing improvement. So, I stuck with it and now it has been just a couple months and I am almost completely without pain! I would recommend this book for anyone experiencing shoulder pain and even if you still have to seek out a physicians care this book will help you get started on the road to recovery.

Excellent Resource
Great book to use especially once you start thawing! Has saved me a lot of money from not having to go to Physio and pay out of pocket. Was going to Physio during frozen stage and it was a waste of time and money. This book is very simple and a great resource to use to start increasing your range of motion. Gentle and effective!

Brilliant support for anyone with Frozen Shoulder
Anyone considering this book will likely have or know someone with Frozen Shoulder (FS), an alarming condition that may or may not have an underlying cause and gives months of pain and loss of range of motion (ROM). 5 months into my FS shoulder journey last year I was still in the frozen phase and I bought this book and tentatively started the exercises. The book is written in an extremely straight forward manner and suitable exercises are presented for the different stages of the condition including frozen, thawing and maintenance. Since the day I started using this book my ROM had steadily improved and now 3 months on I have regained almost 100% ROM. I started with the aqua exercises which were a revelation - I could do things like jumping jacks engaging arm movements I couldn't have imagined doing on land. I really can't recommend this book highly enough, whether you have FS or want to prevent it, which is a consideration in particular for anyone who has had a parent experience the condition (there are genetic links), if you are perimenopausal (an alarming number of women get this condition when hormones start to change), have had a shoulder injury or simply want to prevent FS happening again, which sadly does happen in 14% of cases.

Does help heal frozen shoulders!
This book truly transformed my shoulder. I started them about 2-3 months into my frozen shoulder and the progress was clear just a couple of weeks later. Try each of the exercises and listen to your shoulder, it does guide you as to which exercises help. It is easy to reinflame a frozen shoulder so if yours complains a couple of hours after a new exercise, drop it and trust your shoulder. Personally I found that the exercises with a towel or strap behind my back (for internal rotation mainly) seemed too much for my shoulder when it was frozen. Whilst it's vital to move your shoulder as much as possible, it is self-defeating to move it in a way that creates pain - you need to move within your pain-free range of motion. For 2-3 months, I did a handful of exercises and my shoulder told me not to do the rotation ones, even tho rotation is the key axis that frozen shoulders struggle with. But after 2-3 months I was beginning to sleep better because of the increased range of motion in all the other axes and I experimented with adding in rotation exercises. Several weeks later, my external rotation is improving, thanks mainly to standing in doorways!, and I have confidence that this shoulder is in fact thawing despite being only 6 months into this journey. I have learned that, if you ever get a shoulder injury, we need to deliberately exercise the shoulder in all directions to keep it moving, keep doing this daily to prevent it freezing in the first place. I tore a Teres muscle, stopped being able to rotate and thought it would sort itself out, then 2 months later was in a lot of pain around the whole shoulder girdle and frozen shoulder had set in - I think it's likely it set in because I was simply not moving my shoulder as normal once I had torn the muscle. If I could somehow have managed to move it, even passively, the shoulder may not have frozen. I additionally used regular osteopathy but to be honest I had a severe aggravation from one session which put back my recovery by a month so personally would recommend this book instead, trust what it it says, do the exercises 2-3 times a day. I found having baths in the morning before exercising really helped make the most of the exercises. Warm baths plus daily exercises help massively.
