The Everything Kids' Giant Book of Jokes, Riddles, and Brain Teasers (Everything® Kids)

I'm giving this 5 stars because it is everything it claims to be. But my son got two joke books at Christmas: this and "Laugh out Loud Jokes for Kids" by Rob Elliott. At 7 years old, my son likes this book, but prefers Elliott's book to this one because this one contains a lot of things he doesn't understand. In a year or two, he'll likely prefer this one, as it has much more content and far more variety, but if you're considering which of these to buy, perhaps a 9-10 year-old would prefer this, but a 7 or 8 year-old might prefer something a little simpler.

I like this book. There is a large variety of content. The thing I don't like is the print color. It's light blue and green. The light blue is a bit of a strain on the eyes because of the lack of good contrast.

Got my 8 year old a bunch of joke books for Christmas as he loved a few others he’d gotten at the library. This was the only stinker. Yes, kids joke books are bad, this one is plain just not funny. Even my son said “these don’t even make sense”. Don’t waste your time.

I made the mistake of buying this for my son. From the moment he got it, I have not had peace. The jokes are easy to ready and funny to kids, for adults, they are groaners. (Well some were funny to adults as well)My son loves this book, and can barely get through a joke without laughing.I gave this 5 stars because it was a great gift for my son... Not so much to me. (Pretend it is a drum set and buy for a relative)

There are really inappropriate jokes in this book. Like one about Terrorism. :(

Bought this for my 7 year old for xmas. He loves jokes and riddles, and thusly this book. Some of it was corny or mistyped, but all in all it was good for a young kid. I don't know if I'd recommend it for kids much older though.

Was very disappointed, it only has kindergarten jokes in there......

I ordered this for my 8 year-old godson. He had been asking me for good riddles and seems to really like this book.

I ordered this book based on the previous 4 reviews. I expected a great book which could entertain the kids for a while, and draw them away from the TV. Sadly when it arrived it became apparent that it was an American compilation. Referring to American currency, states, cities, rivers, names and even celebrities. For example my kids have no idea who Bill Cosby or Jay Leno are, or be interested in any hollywood writers. They also would not know that Charles Schulz created Charile Brown....etc. It is full of Americanisms and very poor knock-knock jokes.... so regretably it went straight back to Amazon.

I bought this for my daughter's 9th brithday recently and she has loved the mixture of jokes, riddles and brain teasers. So much in the book for endless fun.

Brilliant

This book is ideal bed time reading for my 9 year old son, he can read the jokes and riddles or complete the brain teasers if he wants to work his brain a bit.

I bought this book for my 9 year old son and its kept him captivated. I love those moments when we read it together

Bought this for my nine year old great nephew who will love this. He is developing a great sense of humour and this will give him plenty to add to his repertoire.

Very poor quality colour and print inside book compared to the cover, disappointed

This was an ideal present for my nephew - and the jokes and brain teasers had us entertained as well.

I bought this book for my 9 year old daughter. She loves the riddles and puzzles. It provides hours of fun...far better that watching TV.

Gift Grandson loves it. Will order more
