Adonis contains imidacloprid, the first non-repellent to succeed in the rigorous USDA-Forest Service testing, even under the harsh conditions seen in Arizona and Florida, providing full protection for 15 and 12 years, respectively1. To date, more homes have been pre-treated with imidacloprid than any other non-repellent termiticide. Post-Construction: Value-priced compared to other non-repellent termiticides, you get more years structural protection per dollar spent. Adonis offers good lateral movement to fill voids, outstanding residual control, and unique dual-action control of termites. When termites encounter Adonis in the soil, they are either killed on contact or shortly thereafter. Those that survive briefly after contact stop feeding2 and transfer the active ingredient to other, naïve termites within a colony. This transfer of imidacloprid from treated to untreated termites can result in control beyond the treatment zone and additional protection from future termite infestations. The non-repellency of imidacloprid means that termites cannot detect the presence of Adonis, so a less than perfect application is more forgiving; termites can move through a gap in repellent barrier treatments as small as 1/32 inch.
