Exactly as described. Outer layer is a plastic coating, so just be aware if using an electric pencil sharpener that there will be a tiny ribbon of plastic. I thought I broke my pencil sharpener, but then saw the ribbon of plastic wrapped around the base of the cutting tool where it rotates and it had wound around it. Easy enough fix. Cute pencils. Kids loved them. Fast shipping.

Quality and Function
I was so excited to find these pencils to use for my piano music composing. They look great until you sharpen them and then the outer paper of design comes off.
