Xpand Round Lacing. Elastic No Tie Shoelaces - Quick Release Tension Control - One Size Fits All Adult and Kids Shoes

These work perfectly! However, always err on the side of leaving the laces too long. I made the mistake of cutting them too short the first go around, as I’ve had problems with lesser brands allowing my heels to slip out. When lacing initially, (before I cut them to size) I’ve learned the laces should appear slightly loose while my foot is OUT. I leave an extra 3” at the top and use the lace lock but I DON’T put the cap on the cut end yet. I try them on & walk around to ensure my foot & heel don’t slip. If they do slip, I tighten the laces VERY SLIGHTLY, a little goes a long way, then put them back on for another test walk. If they feel at all tight through this process, or are pulling a shoe together tightly without my foot inside, I know they’ll be too tight when I wear them all day. I pop on the end cap, without trimming the extra, until I’ve worn them a couple times & know for sure how long they should be. Hope this helps!

I have had a bad hip for over 5 years and have difficulty putting on my shoes and tying them. I’ve tried for years to “McGyver” my shoes into slip ons and have even bought slip on athletic shoes (which there are very few good options for). I’ve tried the other brands out there but none were very comfortable because you can’t adjust the tension. recently had hip replacement surgery and while browsing the web stumbled upon these.These are by far the best product out there. I put them on my boots, work shoes & athletic shoes and now I can put my shoes in with ease.Totally a game changer!

Originally a Kickstarter backer.Ordered more for stocking stuffers and very one loved them.As easy as replacing standard laces, cut less then you think you should, then when you have the laces snugged up and feel right on your feet, make final cut and attach lace end cap.Soo many colors to choose from.1st picture loose fit, 2nd tighten up

I placed these shoe laces in my shoes following the directions (which must be better online because the written ones were terrible and the drawings were not detailed). The last step is to cut the shoelaces and close the lock piece. I then pulled on the lock and one of the laces pulled out. My darling husband tried to open the lock piece but it is not meant to be re-opened and broke. My solution: Glue it! Make sure you have the laces properly adjusted and the ends of the laces fully placed in the lock piece before you cut.

This is the 4th elastic-lace design tried so far. They've all been good, but these seem best; the actual locking design is both smaller [more compact] and stronger than the others tried. Will need some time, of course, to see if it holds up across months.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I’ve boughten man of these laces but this is the first time I buy the release round laces and they were and are a hassle to install. The package and website say that they are good for children and adult shoes. Yet, the love end wouldn’t go through the lace holes. It took me such a long time to put in the first laces for one shoe but the other shoe I was unsuccessful. It was so difficult that even the plastic end bent and still was unable to put it through. As I was taking out the laces to put on the regular laces the plastic tubing came off.

Been using the other brand and one thing to remember it give yourself room to breath. You will not like these products if you cut them short Because when you start running you will want to readjust or you will hate them for being too tight. When installing wear them like if your shoe is going to fall off. They won’t but that was the only way I could describe it. Take them off and on and verify no issues. Mark it a couple inches from the top and cut. So when you do tighten them you could tuck the extra between the laces. I like xpand better is that the laces seem a slight thinner than lace lock. Have to look hard but it makes a difference when lacing. Especially with kids shoes.

Works fine, just not what I wanted. Wanted to eliminate having to tie my shoes. These still require bending over to tighten up and lock.

Two stars because whilst the laces function as laces, the so called quick release clips hardly function at all, they are very poor quality. The instructions for deploying the clips are incomprehensible.Lastly, misleading advert pictures. One of the images demonstrates these laces with an On Running Cloud Swift shoe - this shoe really needs flat laces, due to flat eyelets. Now if you crush the ends of the laces with pliers to make them flat, then you can just about thread the lace through the eyelets, but it isn't easy.Yes the lace works to a point, but these are poor quality, and expensive. I wont be buying again.

I have just paid £11.49 for this useless piece of cheap plastic.Don't buy this. It's cheap and nasty and it doesn't do what it's supposed to do.Had it 5 minutes and threw it in the bin.I gave it one star because the system wouldn't let me give it zero stars

I really like these (I was one of the original Kickstarter product backers), but have found that the end-clip is not strong enough for day to day use. I've pulled the clip off the end of the laces repeated times, so have no just fallen back to tying them in a simple knot. Not as neat and tidy, but far, far more effective than the plastic clip.

I really like these they are easy to put on the shoes with retaining clips. But they are very expensive for a set of shoe laces. There are cheaper versions which may not be as good in the market

I have purchased so many pairs of these laces, I should be a brand embassador.They are so convenient, so easy to install, and so easy to use.They come in so many colours, you are sure to find one that matches. I only wish more colour options were available without the reflective strands.I recommend when installing them, to put your shoes on for a bit around the house to sus out the tightness BEFORE you cut the laces. I have found that no matter how roomy I try to leave them durring the initial insall, it is always too tight. I wasted a couple pairs when I first started using them because I cut them too short before I found the sweet spot. You can always cut off a bit more later, but you can't add back. LOL.The quick release toggle helps with this too.
