Nice well made
Very sturdy steel cross bar , but plastic collars may not last to weekly use. I only use it maybe 4 or 5 times a year so not too worried. Good value for money .

Great value for the price.
I bought this light stand a few months ago and have used it in several shows and it’s held up great.I have 4 par lights, two small disco lights and a chauvet dj swarm 5fx and haven’t had any issues (about 45lbs), although I’d recommend some sand bags if you plan to add more weight and will be using it outside.Reason I’m giving it a 4star and not 5 is because of the fasteners, I feel they could have been made a bit sturdier. While it’s only happened once, I did found myself tightening it to a point where it lost all its tension and if I wasn’t holding the upper section it would have come down fast with all my lights on it so I’d keep an eye out for that, id also wouldn’t recommend for moving head lights.Just ordered a second one though to create a similar set up to what I already put together.

Sturdy
Very sturdy. No concerns of it falling. This can handle UKing lights very well. Build quality is great and does not feel cheap.

Firm and sturdy, tall.
This stand is easy to assemble. It has a nice weight to it and is very sturdy when holding lights. You can use the bar and have 4 or 8 lights (top and bottom) if you really need to. OR, you can forget the bar and just mount one light to the top. That is very handy. I have used many lighting trees over the last 20+ years. This one is the most compact but also the most sturdy. You still need a sand bag, but it holds in place better than most. The only negative: the bolt where the top bar attaches is round, so the set screw does not hold well. I suggest you grind a flat spot on this and it will bold much better when mounting a lot of lights.

For light duty use only!!
I have been playing in bands for over 30 years. I've played countless gigs over the years, so I know what kind of a beating your equipment is subjected to in this environment. But, I was looking to buy some new lights and stands, and I love to save a couple bucks where I can, so I took a gamble on these. The description doesn't really give you a good representation of the size of these stands, specifically tube diameters, which plays a big role in how sturdy they are (or aren't, in this case). So I said, well, what the heck, if they're no good then I can return them.... which is exactly what I did. I didn't measure, but looking at them, I'd say the tubes are somewhere around an inch in diameter... that, coupled with the not-great clamps, makes a stand that is too weak and flimsy for any serious use, such as frequent set-up, tear-down, onto the next location like you'd see with a working rock band. I took one out of the box, took one look at it and I knew... but I set it up anyway, tested it for sturdiness, took it back apart and packed it back in the box to be sent back. I suppose these would be ok for light duty in a docile environment, but I'd never expect them to hold up taking them in and out of music venues, clubs, bars, etc., especially if you set them up where that one really drunk guy can bump into them or try to prop himself up on one because he can no longer stand up on his own. So... if you're looking for something for your photography or art studio, these would probably do the trick. But if you need stands that will take some abuse, don't waste your time or money on these. I returned them and ordered two Odyssey LTP-2 stands. They were only $30 more per stand and they are much thicker (1.5 to 2 inch diameter tubing depending on what section of the stand you're looking at), heavier, bigger tripod base, go up to 12 feet tall, bigger better clamps, just waaayy better all around. Very satisfied with the LTP-2's. Hope this helps someone out there!!
