CuisinartCCO-55 Deluxe, Chrome Electric Can Opener, Silver

I purchase many Cuisinart products because of their reputation for quality and my personal experience with them. I had read some critical reviews about how this opener had a very weak and flimsy plastic handle press. I took a chance and ordered it anyhow. Yes the handle is plastic, but I have had absolutely no problem with it. I have had this unit now since August of 2022, and used it many times. I guess if you press down on it unnecessarily hard, it might break, but I have never had to do that to get it engaged to open a can. I have opened small, medium and large cans without any issues. The blade easily removes for quick and simple cleanup, too. It has performed flawlessly since I have owned it. Like most small appliances this is manufactured in China and because of that I believe there has been some degradation in Cusinnart's overall quality in their products, butI can still recommend it.

This is a very easy can opener to operate and it does a great job each and every time. I specifically ordered this as the tall-ness of the opener helps with large size cans and there's plenty of room to spare. Very easy to clean, no issues whatsoever and overall thrilled with it.I used to have manual can openers but it's so much easier to work an electric can opener, anytime of the day.Good looking, great colors and steady on the counter.

Wife finally used it she loves it with her MS she has hard time using hand type openers when i am not at home to do it ! She said it is very easy to use and easy to clean after use and very quiet also THANKS for Great Product !

This is very light weight and super easy to use!! The electric cord stores easily in the back of the can opener or simply take only the needed length if you are keeping it on your counter. It looks great too!! Highly recommend!!

The media could not be loaded. Six months ago, my electric can opener died, so I purchased the Cuisinart SCO-60 for $60. I really wasn't happy with it. It did fine on basic 14-oz cans, but failed on anything else - Tuna, 28-oz, 6-oz tomato paste... failures all.When I ordered this CCO-55, I honestly didn't realize that the old opener was a Cuisinart. I probably wouldn't have bought this one had I been paying attention. And when it came, I saw that the cutting mechanism appeared to be exactly the same as the SCI-60, so I was expecting the same failures.However this model is working great. I've opened all can types, including the large #10 can. (see video)This model and the older more expensive one appear to be so similar that I have to wonder if I might have simply got a defective unit before.

Very happy with my decision, after a very long time of dealing with an opener that had a mind of its own. I don’t believe you will be disappointed.
