Works like I would expect it to.
I've had this for about 3 years now and it has worked as expected. It will take most filters from other manufacturers and I have bought them from 3 or 4 different places and they work fine.

Good mostly - One challenge
For filtering water, this product works great. My only significant complaint is, I wish I'd have known (just with it was mentioned from the seller) that this does NOT filter chlorine out of the water.I had over 20 fish in my 135 gallon reef aquarium. In the past I bought water from a friend who had an RO/DI filter, and his water worked great. After purchasing this filter (which is different from the one my friend had), all but 2 of my fish died. Hundreds of dollars worth of fish just down the drain. :( This is because chlorine remained in the water after filtration.Had I known it would not remove the chlorine, I would have simply added "Prime" or some additive to the water to protect my fish. I didn't know though, and all of my fish died within 5 days of a 20% water change using the new water filter. Very sad. Very frustrated. Just wish this I'd been forewarned so I could have made the necessary adjustment. I still would have purchased the same RO/DI filter, but I would have been able to save my fish had I known.
