They require the best-performing kitchen tools available, and so do we. Few have the time to peel, chop, and prep garlic by hand; it's boring and tedious work, no matter how much you love cooking. Not to mention the strong garlic odor that persists on your hands after prepping. That changes right now with your new UberChef Garlic Press & Peeler Set. Skip the Peeler and use the Press to strip the skin and mince all in one shot. Yep, our Peeler does that too! The breathtaking stainless steel construction gives a luster unmatched by any cheap garlic presses and displays beautifully out on the counter top when not in use. For cleanup, you have two super easy options: run the basket under warm water, or put it in the dishwasher for hands-free cleaning. Yep, it's dishwasher safe too! UberChef vs Orblue- output test
I purchased it after reading some reviews: [...] and on Amazon. This presser is considered #2 and of very good quality, heavier than its rivals on the market and is at a fair price. Below is my comparison of Orblue to UberChef® Premium which I also purchased and tested. Orblue is heavier, than UberChef, particularly when it comes to screen thickness: perforated metal screen on Orblue is Thicker (liked it !) and freely moving than it is in UberChef (where screen is tight within joints/rivet holding it all together). Oddly, this is one of the places where Orblue looses to UberChef. Please see my images below comparing both (left) Orblue and (right) UberChef side by side. Each image is mostly self explanatory and points to ad/disad- vantages in each product. For some this may be trivial or of no importance, but was the deal breaker for me; main reason for choosing UberChef over Orblue (although I liked the heavier screen in Orblue) was the performance/output after putting them both through the rigorous test.

Sturdy and well made.
This is very well made.My friends kept telling me I wouldn't like a garlic press, and that they were hard to clean. I didn't find that it was that hard to clean. After I crushed the garlic, it did get stuck in the little holes where it was pushed through, but I used a sharp knife to scrape it off and it worked like a champ. I turned it over and used my finger to scoop out the inside, I had plenty of garlic and it was finely minced. It rinsed clean with no issue.I like the peeler too, it helped to keep most of the garlic peel off my hands.I put both the press and peeler in my dishwasher silverware tray and it came out great. There are hooks on the ends of the press. There were no issues with my arthritic hands to squeeze the handles together.Love this, I've wanted one for so long. Buy it!

This item literally stinks
I never write reviews but this item requires a caution. After finding no instructions in the box, I went to the website noted on the card inside the box to get instructions, get recipes and free offers. The website is a fake!! So no instructions—I figured it out on my own. I rolled the garlic in the rubber tube after washing it with soapy water. After doing this, I inhaled the most disgusting odor from the tube. I soaked it in baking soda and soapy water for hours and nothing has removed the odor. The garlic does not completely press through the holes in the press and I had to manually get them out to not waste garlic. I also had to soak the press in order to get the remains out of the holes. On a positive note, it seems to made with sturdy material and is not flimsy. I was surprised at all the positive reviews. Perhaps the one I got was just a fluke but that odor permeated my kitchen for 2 days—and it wasn’t from garlic!! Not worth my trouble to get it returned, since I am quarantined.

Great Garlic Press for My Needs !
This is a good garlic press, metal is heavy and appears quite durable. Arrived promptly and seller followed up with an email. The sleeve roller does peel the garlic well, but it's a bit fiddly to clean all the garlic skin off it afterward. The press takes a littlemuscle to press the garlic through [I am not the strongest kid on the block these days] but that may be because it holds a good amount [more than one average clove], so the trick may be to not overload it. I don't like the final cleaning of it however.....may just be the nature of the beast, but to get all the tiny pieces of minced garlic out takes a little time. All in all, it's a good sturdy press and that matters most. It does what it should do, make perfectly minced garlic, and doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon. I do appreciate the followup email by the seller.

easy to use
This press is well-made, easy to use, easy to clean, and capable of processing several cloves at once. Since just about all dinners at our house involve garlic, it gets a work-out. I bought it to replace a press whose handle came apart after many years of use. (The handle of the old one was half metal and half plastic; the plastic wasn't a structural element but was supposed to make gripping easier. It eventually detached from the rest of the device.) Now that I have this press, I can't believe that I stuck with the other one for so many years. (It had been a gift.) The old one wasn't terrible, but this one is so superior that using garlic a breeze, and it speeds up my time in the kitchen a bit, too. The silicone sleeve does a great job removing the skin.

It's great!
I LOVE IT......with one minor change, this could be outstanding. The piece of metal that actually does the mincing is on a hinge and then rests in a frame. It would be great if the mincing piece was attached to the frame. When I pull the presser back, the mincing part is stuck to the presser and I have to manually put it back in the frame. I hope this makes sense. It's not the end of the world but since the seller was asking for my opinion, this is my only fix. Other than that, I LOVE IT!!!! I love not having to peel the clove first!

It still looks great....too many moving parts
I like that it can be washed in the dishwasher.I’ve had this for about 2 years now. It still looks great. Perhaps its because sometimes I avoid using it at all is why is still looks good.To many moving parts.Aside from the 2 halves you would normally use to press your garlic, this also has another basket that swings into place and thats where you place your garlic.Unfortunatly the holes that the garlic gets pressed through seem to be a bit too small. It seems at times the majority of the garlic squishes up around the sides instead of through the holes. Its just a bit much.Im going to buy a different press, but this one will probably kick around in my gadget drawer until the next garage sale.Did I mention it still looks brand new?

It works but the design could be better
It did what it is supposed to but I have several suggestions on design improvement. 1) the metal used can be thicker, the light gauge steel may compromise long term durability 2) there are lots of tiny ridges and spot where the garlic could stuck, pretty hard to clean. I used to have a garlic press from Ikea that are better in those area and that one lasted over 10 years before it broke. I am not sure if this one can last 10 years.

Garlic chunks get stuck in it easily
Because this garlic press has a moving bucket (where the garlic is put in), it serves as just another moving part (needless, in my opinion) where garlic chunks can get stuck and difficult to clean out.
