One of best erotic historical series set in regency England I've read.
I'm actually writing this after rereading this book for the second time. I was craving a good erotic historical romance- one whose story is entertaining and brings out emotions beyond just the "naughty" parts. I had originally found this series in Sept 2012 (yes I know much later than most others) and in the space of a few days I had read the series. I would note though that when I purchased the series in September they were each $3.99. I'm not sure I would have purchased them or felt they were quite as "great" if I'd had to pay over $8 for each. They are all under 300 pages I believe and for me really just a long afternoon read. Hmm, I wonder if I'm the only reader whose expectations and even enjoyment of a book is somewhat colored by the cost of the book? This really is a good book- well written, flows well, the author paints a vivid picture both in the setting and the emotions, definitely "show" not "tell", the passion is blazing but yet appropriate (each "naughty" scene has a place and purpose rather than feeling like the author thought "hmm I want this to be an erotic romance and it's been 14.5 pages without any groping I'll insert some here"). I definitely recommend you read....I only wish they'd bring it back to the earlier price point for you.Series order: Everything ForbiddenSomething RecklessTabooNothing Denied

Love! Love! Love!
I loved this story. I thought at first it was going to be mostly sex and even though there was a lot, there was great character development and a wonderful storyline as well. I loved the chemistry between the hero and heroine. They set fire to the pages and I loved how their story developed. Very steamy. Awesome book, will read again.

Great hero and sweet heroine make this a winner
Miranda Albright is at first shocked then intrigued when she see her neighbor Lord Ethan Hamon the Earl of Rothschild with his mistress engaged in a very steamy embrace by his pond. She instantly becomes attracted to the very handsome man. Fast forward three years and Miranda is meeting him under some dire circumstances. Her father has died leaving a huge pile of bills, her mother is frivolously spending the last of their money, and her three younger sisters cannot even afford a season. Miranda goes to Ethan asking him to sponsor her sisters promising him she will pay him back the money after her sisters marry wealthy men.Ethan says no to Miranda but counter offers that he will sponsor her sisters if Miranda will become his paramour for the next three months instead. Miranda feels she has no choice and truthfully longs to have a passionate affair with the pleasure seeking Earl, so she agrees to a summer romance. Every Friday she meets him and they have steamy bedroom scenes but more than that they have conversation and laughter. Soon Ethan is finding himself more and more entranced by the inexperienced Miranda.Falling in love is what Miranda fears the most with the Earl but she just cannot help herself and the next thing she knows she is head over heals for this man. But Ethan is solidly against marrying, and though he finds Miranda fascinating now, he worries that his obsession will soon fade. His parents had a disastrous relationship due to his father's infidelities and his mother's alcoholism; he certainly does not want history to reapeat itself. This novel is incredibly sweet, yes it has some torrid love scenes but more than that it has a very sympathetic hero and a woman who shows loyalty to her family in the face of hardship. The only drawback was that I wish there had been a little more background information about Miranda, I knew a lot about her family but wanted to know more about her, especially her relationship with her father and her unsuccessful seasons. This book features much of the hero's point of view and the author did a fine job writing about his inner turmoil and past heartache. Well done.

Sex in English Countryside in 1814
Miranda Albright, the oldest of four daughters, is a big disappointment. She won't marry for money. She wants passion! She has spied on her sexy neighbor for years and she wants what he has been doing with his various lovers. So, she sets out to help her family finances by making a deal with Ethan, her sexy neighbor. Need I say more??? It is a romance set in 1814 with the usual angst among the characters BUT the sex scenes are anything but what you'd expect to go on in 1814 England. The scenes are erotic and well described. Miranda is a lusty wench and gets everything she wanted. I enjoyed the romp and I too usually skip to the "good stuff" so am happy that this author agrees that a good romance has good sex. I recommend this book as double X rated. Not too much, not too graphic, but heartwarming.

Love is worth the risk
The primary theme in this book seems to be risk. Not just of society's acceptance or judgement of herself, but risking her heart. Miranda risked everything she was and her relationships with her sisters to be able to support her family (primarily to provide her three younger sisters with coming out parties so that they could marry well) and Miranda risked her heart by agreeing to become Ethan Rothschild's lover for three months, a summer, one month for each sister and he would sponsor the girls, in turn Miranda gave herself over to Ethan, body mind and soul, as payment. Never hoping to find love with an unchangeable rake. A man who proclaimed that it wasn't in his makeup to be faithful or love, but love always wins! A fabulous read by Ms Michaels, I highly recommend this author!

Excellent Read
I truly enjoyed this book and am glad that I took a chance on it. I was looking for some inspiration as I prepared to write some love scenes for my own book when I came across this gem. Now I am in the proper state of mind to write my own love scenes. Good stuff!

yes, yes, yes!
I love erotic historical novels and good ones are hard to find. Enter Jess Michaels who knows how to write about passion. Everything Forbidden was such a satisfying read. The wonderful characters, the steamy love scenes and the engaging plot lines drew me right in. My only caveat was that I had yearned for an epilogue at the end to know more about where these characters were headed. I will be reading many more of Jess's book in the future!

Early work from an author who learned fast
I love Jess Michaels books and was driven to try this earlier work. I really wish I hadn't despite the discount price. The plot is about a young innocent girl who makes a self sacrificing proposition to a neighbour, also a rake, to save her family.Good things were the fluid writing of this excellent author. However the plot was a scenery chewing predictable thing that left me cold as did the 50% of the book that described in drearily mechanical detail the sexual adventures of the lead characters. In this book are the seeds of the excellent series that followed such as The Pleasure Wars and The Notorious Flynns. Just the seeds though.I would not recommend this work when there is so much better quality work from this talented author.
