‘Yelling and stomp just aren’t polite, except one a year on Halloween night!’
The beautiful Israeli children's books author, Sigal Adler, just keeps adding to her now rather impressive number of books for children. Each of her books was written in Hebrew and as they became best sellers in Israel she decided to have them translated into English to benefit an even broader range of children. As always Sigal's rhyming style delightful. The stories are not only entertaining but they also carry some subtle messages to those children fortunate enough to read them - or have them read to them. The books are enhanced by one the top illustrators Harry Aveira. It is the autumn season and what better way to introduce ‘Young Harry Monster who has waited all year and no Halloween is almost here. He knows just what he wants to be, A pirate – the terror of the high sea!’ Harry waits in line for his pirate costume – but there are many kids and adults in line and he doesn’t like to wait and miss out on the costume of his choice, so he growls and snarls and no one is afraid of him. He finally decides to turn his anger into kindness and a young boy befriends him and tells him Harry will need an extra large costume – bigger than anyone else will need. So by being polite Harry gets his costume – and save his pirate anger for how on Halloween night.A fun story with a solid message beautifully illustrated - and Sigal Adler successfully adds to her repertoire of fine children's books. Great! kindness, civility, and patience
Children’s author, Sigal Adler, once again, delivers. “I Hate to Wait” is yet another wonderful book that entertains and educated. In this seasonal story, Harry Monster, a bully of a monster boy, learns that kindness, civility, and patience get results.Colorful illustrations of Harry Monster and all the other enthusiastic kids and parents – delight and enrich the experience of reading this book. In addition, funny little situations, such as Harry’s confrontation with a tongue-sticking-out little girl and a toe-stomping little old lady, who are neither worried nor intimidated by Harry Monster’s large body, his impatience, or his antics, will have you and your kids giggling.A perfect gift. Get it just in time for Halloween!

Another adorable book by Ms. Adler
I certainly enjoyed this book. The story is endearing and perfect for small children and young readers. They will giggle at the antics of the monster who hates to wait. Some will surely relate to him as well. The story shares a great lesson, which small children will easily remember. They will want to read it over and over again. I highly recommend this story.Reviewed by children's author Deanie Humphrys-Dunne

Very cute
It has a great lesson with a cute main character, a monster named Harry. It was a great read for our kiddos and even better since it is so close to Halloween. I bought most of the books by this author too and I can't wait to read the rest tk my girls.

Cute!
Teaches children that even monsters can be and should be polite. Helps in the understanding of the importance of expressing feeling politely.

Not properly formatted for iPad
Cute story with teachable moments in it, but on an iPad, you either get an illustration or the written portion of the book per “page”; the text and the pictures do not appear together. When reading to children, (and for my own entertainment), it’s best for them to be looking at a picture while listening to the text.

Interesting bit complex
A bit hard to follow, I find myself a bit confused at times but the story is good.
