500W DC Electric Motor 24V Permanent Magnet DC Brush Motor Kit 2500RPM with Speed Control Throttle Fit for Mini Bike Quad Go-Kart (24V 500W DC Motor with Throttle)

I bought this motor with the controller and throttle control was very please with the package delivery was quick.I am using this for a cruizen cooler upgrade from 300 watt to a 500 watt. I was surprised with the amount of extra power torque and speed. I did read a couple of post that weren't pleased with it so I cant speak for them but mine seems to be doing well for what I'm doing. I way 270 and this cooler loaded with me on it is around 300 pounds. I was popping wheelies in the driveway!!! Only bad thing is my battery runs down to quick. Thinking about making an larger battery pack... would recommend it.

This product was a tank of a motor. It had enough power to accelerate my 180 lb body with ease. I would definitely recommend for anyone trying to convert there bike and or scooter into an electronic version. It would be nice if a diagram was included but, it was a very good product.

The motor has very little torque at low rpm's! You would need a Very large sprocket on a Bicycle rear wheel to gear this down. I tried it with a 9 speed sprocket on a mountain bike using the original bike chain and it barely made it around the driveway. This is actually a very poor choice for the application...! To make it work..It might work if you had a sprocket the size of your back tire! After testing several components of the kit, the controller is very capable of controlling the speed but at a reduced current level. They claim to use a 12 gauge wire for the motor power, I bypassed the controller to see if it was limiting the torque, using very good quality 12 gauge wire and 2 Glass Mat batteries (18 AH) the motor wires heated up but the supply wires from the batteries did not. They claim the motor will draw 26 amps...Hard to believe when the 12 gauge wire would limit it to 20 amps. Seems like the whole setup is HIGHLY over rated.

I had to make a mount and figure out the wiring. Other than that it works well and has held up to a 9 year old boy.

I did not like expecting similar product for a good price and having it switched to whatever you wanted to send. Instead of at least asking the buyer if they still wanted it. Two 500 watt DC motors with tandem controller and throttle to tandem operate two motorsAnd came with now connectors . This is not a kit .Because I have to also search for connectors to use what Half order got here
