Best Thing Ever
This made replacing the 20 year old recessed bulb lights both inside and on my porch so easy. So easy to install. I haven’t found anything like it. Pay attention to the color you’re buying. I accidentally bought the cool white and it made my porch look like a cold hospital room. The warm white version is perfect.

Great recessed lighting option
I installed four Cree recessed lights in a high ceiling to replace a 40+year old set of floodlights; I'm NOT an electrician but my brother is; he recommended the Cree as he uses them himself on the job. Although he offered to help I was able to do everything myself and this project went very smoothly. Plugging into the existing recessed socket was as easy as screwing in a light bulb, literally. Each Cree comes with three extendable brackets that act as springs that press against the sides of the can (the lighting container in the ceiling); the assembly fitted snugly when pushed up into the can. The result is attractive and modern-looking and the LEDs (I purchased the 100W equivalent) provide ample light in a large room. Very satisfied with the ease of installation and overall appearance!

WAY easier
I have cans for recessed lighting all over this house. We went from incandescent bulbs to little curly whirlies and then I saw the first edition CREEs. We switched over one at a time. Then I spotted this new version of the CREE with the edison screw base. This is such a step up from Generation I. The color of the light is a tiny bit brighter than the earlier CREEs but it is a little warmer. Less of that LED glare.Installation is so simple. Screw in the base, open the three little wings just enough and pop them up in the can. They stay and look great!

Color too warm / yellow
This lamp is great but coloris too yellow and much warmer than what I expected for soft white.

Great Replacement Fixture
Worked fine as a replacement, even though this is an updated version of the fixture bulb.

So far so good
I've had terrible experiences with previous "LED Retrofits." Both the Feit Electric from Costco as well as Commercial Electric from Home Depot produced nice light, but both brands began failing within a few months.I've since moved to Cree, and while they are more expensive (and unfortunately not available in bulk packs from what I can see), the products seem quite reliable.I'm 6 months in and have not had a single failure. I'll certainly update if I do experience any. These are also extremely dimmable! My Lutron Caseta dimmers have no issues whatsoever.
