Great hard to find snowshoes.
These were very hard to find at a reasonable price. I had an older pair that I used for years. these work great with noticable improvements and upgrades. Thanks!

They are good but have room for improvement.
I tested them a couple of weeks ago around Lake Tahoe walking for seven miles. They got the job done, but as you know, the deeper the snow the more snow get stuck on you. With that being said, the securing of the straps is clumsy and it has room for improvement. The aft strap is long which is ok but after pulling it, it just needs something to keep the excess of it in place. There is a useless clip for that matter, but it does not do the job. The snow will take care of the rest by lodging itself in the area where the pin enters the strap and make it loose. BTW this pin worries me, if it breaks I don't know what I would do. The forward straps need also a better way to be secured after tighten them. In other words the designers can get some inspiration from the way diving fins are attached. In other matters, there is a lot of foot rotation while walking inclined snow areas, this is not a critic or a complement, just some food for thought. I am still trying to figure this part out. Going up was ok, I needed poles otherwise it would have been a pain.

Excellent value
OK so I was finally able to put the snowshoes through a rigorous mountain hike. I live in the mountains of Idaho and run several trap lines. Having good snowshoes is a must. After I wore my other ones out I decided to try these. These are an excellent snow shoe for the money. Very durable and rigid with excellent traction spikes for mountaineering. I am 6’5” and weigh 245lbs. No issues with float or stability with the large shoe. If I have issues during the season I will update this review. Overall I’m super impressed with the construction and size.
