I lived in NY for 5 years and I would always go to Magnolia Bakery Radio City Music Hall whenever I was in that area, particularly for the banana pudding. It's seriously the best banana pudding in the world. So when I moved away I started to crave it and so I bought the cookbook and made it for myself. It made a huge amount (which was fine with me) and tasted exactly like what I used to get at the bakery. I've tried quite a few recipes from this cookbook and they always come out really good. There is some great information on ingredients and the baking process too. It's my go to cookbook for baked goods now.

Mrs. Nayler's eyes sparkled when she saw this book and even more when she saw the recipes inside. My eyes sparkled when I saw the blueberry muffins she made using the recipe in the book and even more when I bit into one. She made them this morning and I have had almost a half dozen since then.

I have the other Magnolia recipe book and was happy to get this one as well. Good recipes that don't require being a fancy chef to make. The photos are real nice and inspiring. Way more fun than reading recipes from the computer! Would make a nice bridal shower gift.

This cookbook was very disappointing. First off, no weights for measurements, which is important in baking. Second, the book is printed with no pictures except a few inserted in a couple places. A very cheap cookbook that I will be returning, a first for this baking cookbook junkie.

The recipes in this book are really good. I’ve tried several of them. Easy to follow instructions and good photos

What a beautiful and fun cookbook. Just reading it makes you experience The Village in New York City.You can almost smell the cupcakes baking and looking at the pictures gives you the same feeling as choosing a cupcake at the bakery.Love the book and the finished product.

I love baking, I love cakes and muffins and pies and bars and cookies. I have also visited the Magnolia Bakery in NY and bought the book to complete the experience (of enjoying the banana pudding and red velvet cake!). Easy to follow, well and detailed in recipe presentation, works always.

Bought it as a gift for my wife who is an avid home baker.The item came with a small damage on the side of the book. Nothing serious and concerning just a little mark on the edge of the pages.What we liked:- The book is nice, the print, the style, the font is good.- Quiet a number/collection of delectable recipes which is exciting to try. From frostings, icings, cakes, cupcakes, pudding, breads and loafs!What can be better/Nice to have:- Paper is too thin and delicate, easy to torn by accident- Too few photos of the recipe though, would be nice to have more photos of the recipe outcome so we would have an idea what it would look like if properly doneOverall we liked the book and cannot wait to try the recipes.

The recipes were very good, however, like most reviewers stated this book is let down by the lack of pictures. You would expect a cookbook to have pictures of what the reader is going to make. Even the pictures that were presented were at placed in the wrong section and very few, for example bread in the frosting session!!Apart from this, the recipes are good I have two from the bread section they were delicious. I am looking forward to trying out more recipes.

Had their cupcakes and Banana pudding when in NYC and loved it. This book has so many recipes in it including those mentioned. Theres not many pictures but its not needed. I really like the style of this book with all the recipes it contains.
