Chasing 4569-100 Gladius Mini Drone - ROV - Up to 100 m - 4K UHD Camera - Five Thruster Mini-Size Underwater Drone - Remote Controller - Yellow

Can’t say I’ve written many reviews, but this new 4K Gladius Mini caught my eye and WOW what a piece of kit!Firstly, the delivery was exceptional from Kooltoyz, who are an actual real shop, not one of these online faceless re-sellers, the Gladius Mini was here with me the next working day, fab work Kooltoyz 10/10 thanks.The Gladius Mini itself came beautifully packaged and I had it connected to my iPhone in moments after downloading the app. Once fully charged I hot footed it down to my local golf course who have a large pond and allowed me to try the Gladius Mini in it.The Gladius Mini was simple to get going, operate and manoeuvre. The 4K video is recorded onto the on-board card 64Gb I believe, (an extra card slot is available on the wi-fi unit for more recording time). I watched and guided the unit under water using the controller connected to my iPhone, while my friend who came with watched a live stream of the video footage on his own devise, simply amazing!The best was still to come, when we got home after drying the unit with the very plush towel that’s supplied inside the kit, the image quality really blew us away, hence me writing this review. The adjustable headlights as I call them, illuminated enough foreground to allow a great perspective and the image didn’t have any noticeable distortion to me. Seeing the fish scatter and lift the silt from the pond bed, simply amazing. I’ll certainly be taking this to many places this year and exploring rocks, caves and the underside of my boat (the main reason I purchased it). With the 100metre range its possible uses are endless.

The media could not be loaded.  I didn’t buy mine from Amazon!I had this ROV for over two years, at first it worked fine with a few random malfunctions. But the last 8 months I’ve had serious issues with it! I work in the water industry and use the ROV for inspections at work, it’s not my main job, I only do it as overtime for some extra money when we need to inspect tanks reservoirs etc but the reliably of this is shocking, it’s got to the point where it’s embarrassing when we’ve planned work and I turn up with an expensive paper weight! The main problem is when it unlocks it just tumbles out of control in the water which can cause other issues if it slams into the bottom and drags up stones into the propellers and jams the motors! I’ve contacted chasing support and they tried to trouble shoot the problem and even paid for it to be checked at a service centre, nearest is in Germany, but they returned it after replacing the tether, it worked the first time but when we changed location and set up again it had the same issue! When it’s working it’s a good bit of kit but I would avoid this product! There is also the issue with the motors in saltwater which I never had as I’ve never used it in saltwater, the motors rust and you have to replace them, there’s a few pages online regarding the issue. It’s not worth the money for something with such bad reliability!

Goood for 100m , with excellent camera and battery that last good enough.

This little yellow think it is the most amazing underwater drone and it can go anywhere you want
