These are a party favor/craft activity for a mermaid birthday party, and they're perfect for that. Got some mermaid pearl cages in bulk and silk cords to hang them. Pretty round, slightly flawed (not bad for fresh water), low luster and thin nacre - but real pearls in real oysters. By the reviews, seems like some people thought they should expect a dozen AAAA pearls for eight bucks. Good luck with that!

The pearls are stunning

I wanted these for a display. When I went to shuck them, every oyster was dry and broken. I figured it didn't matter since I was after the pearls, but these are awful quality. Dinged, miscolored, dents etc.. Unless the company can refund and make this right, I cannot give them a better rating. I'm so sad.

It came 6 days after i ordered it. But it was still pretty fresh not spoiled. Other than that they are very beautiful colors and pretty round good price range for the type of pearls. Would recommend.

I received my oysters today and I am very disappointed in what I received. As you can see in the photo that I provided the two oysters to the far left are the comparison... I have the "big" one on the top and the little one on the bottom. I received 3 of the bigger sized ones (which are really medium size) and all of the rest are the tiny ones like the one under the medium sized one. These oysters should not have even been harvested yet, they are so small!!

Pretty pearls and fun to open

I ordered both freshwater and these Akoya’s and they look the exact same, when usually the Akoya ones are suppose to be a lot better. Which is why you pay more. But for these... that was not the case! I prefer the freshwater ones I bought because they look the exact same and they are easier to open. My sister and I found these a lot harder to open even with an oyster shucker. The one thing I EXTREMELY DISLIKE was the GOD AWFUL SMELL! You talk about rotten private parts then these are it. Smelled like a bathroom that hadn’t been cleaned in years. My sister and I were gagging at the smell. The quality I would say is I guess with the money but I will never buy these again due to the smell.

Very happy with all the beautiful pearls I received. Most were small oysters but Pearls are very nice.
