My son has been swimming for several years and has recently developed a reaction to certain indoor swimming pools. He is 10 years old and swims on a team, 5 days a week. He has always had a mild case of keratosis pilaris so although that is nothing new to us, the flare up is and has become a problem. after several trips to the dermatologists, we have been working hard on finding a solution to help remedy the rash. part of the solution was finding a cream/balm that would withstand the 1 1/2 hrs of being in the pool. After trying several brands, and reading reading the reviews on Amazon, we discovered Exereshield and gave it a try. A year later, I am happy to review that we are die-hard, loyal customers of this brand and products! The pre-swim balm is thick and stays on the entire practice, and his keratosis does not flare up anymore. Our son is 5yrs old and is a competitive swimmer and in the pool 2 to 3 times a week. I've noticed recently that behind his knees and his elbows have been developing a rash which i was assuming was from the pool. We rinse well after and apply baby moisturizer after but the rash remained. i purchased this and started applying to the areas where he was itching befoire he entered the pool. 2 weeks later the rashes are vanishing and he's not itching as much. We will keep using and hopefully this will do the trick

It is so thick and challenging to apply that we have finally given up which is such a waste of money.

I wish I had discovered this when I was a kid, competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor. Now that I am an adult, I am a lot more aware of the chemicals that touch my skin, so I HATE chlorine. However, I still love to swim for fun and exercise, so I decided to try this balm out. It is WONDERFUL. It may make you look like a ghost, but it really does protect your skin from the harmful chemicals in the pool.

Does a good job of reducing after swim itch for my wife, who has a very sensitive back. It does not completely eliminate the effects but knocks out 80-90 % in my estimation. Need someone to apply and help wash off if using on your back. Very thick.

I really wanted to provide the feedback on this product through their website as the inserted card suggests. However, there is no link to contact them even after you create an account. I also really wanted to like the product because I love to swim and have been suffering quite a bit from chemical eczema. Having tried many different products with only mediocre results, this seemed promising. The main problem is that the "cream" is as thick and hard as congealed lard. I had to use a tongue depressor to scrape some of out of the jar and paste it onto my skin. It 's not smooth and once applied to your skin it's hard to spread evenly and you have to use gobs of it to make it cover even a small area. Considering I need to apply it basically from head to toe makes is basically very cumbersome, time consuming and very costly. So sorry, really wnated this to be the solution!

I used this product on the areas around my swimsuit where I often develop dry, irritated skin. Though thick, it rubs in really well quickly. After swimming, my skin was not only protected but extra soft! As a bonus, the mild citrus-based fragrance is great- very natural and not perfume like. Great product for frequent swimmers whose skin takes a beating!

Really am enjoying this product. lovely scent and really works exactly as described! I swim quite a bit and it provides a great barrier for all my time in the pool. Also tried it under my ski gloves (live in Colorado and very cold/windy here) and it worked like a charm in that scenario as well. Strongly recommend, like nothing else I have tried.
