Great product
Good product. Works very well. Upgraded from a 45 gallon tank to a new 75 gallon tank 2 weeks ago. Added this product immediately transferred my Oscar's into the tank right away and use every time I change water weekly. All Nitrites, Nitrates levels have been zero and Ammonia levels no higher than 0.05 PPM. Actually does what it says. I've had fish for years and I would recommend this. Far better than the bacteria in a bottle that I've spent hundreds on and doesn't work.

To get the most out of this product, use this table!
In order to get the most benefit for your fish tank, you need to consider (1) the amount of total ammonia in your tank, (2) the pH of the water, and (3) the tank temperature. Ideally, you want the pH to be between 7 and 7.5 and the temperature to at least around 75 degrees F (roughly 24 degrees C) for the bacteria to reproduce quickly--this will establish the nitrogen cycle in your tank.

Great product but no box!
My first order of this product included a box. This made it easy to keep the spoon with the jar. The last two orders did not include a box. I personally prefer to have a specifically sized box to keep the measuring spoon safely with the product since, obviously, I plan on purchasing this product yet again. :-)

Excellent
This product is awesome. 20 angels in 65 gallon planted tank. water quality is perfect. I've spent 1000's on products. This was a pleasant surprise. if you have a problem after using this, it's not the products fault.. Look somewhere else.

Does not appear to work
I’m an experienced fish keeper and have had success cycling many fish tanks using bacteria starter products from different manufacturers such as SeaChem (makers of Stability), Ecological Labs (makers of Microbe-Lift products), Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (makers of Colony). Regardless of using either a fishless or fish-in cycle methods, I have always been able to cycle a tank in about 2 weeks.Using this dry format bacteria and a fishless cycle method, I’m at the end of 4 weeks and the ammonia reading is still stuck at 2ppm. As a comparison, I started another fishless cycle tank a couple weeks ago with SeaChem’s Stability and that tank has now fully cycled. The water parameters were very similar between the now cycled “Stability tank” versus the “Dry Format Bacteria tank”.The only conclusion I can make is either this product doesn’t contain the necessary bacteria strains to convert ammonia to nitrite and nitrite to nitrate or what I got was a bad batch where all the nitrifying bacteria is dead.
