19 pages. My ten-year old can read this in minutes. This is everything that is wrong with buying a book online. Nobody would EVER pay $10 for this in a book store. Shame on Mark Mulle for publishing this and shame on Amazon for allowing it to sell.

My son loves it but I really wish he didn't
My biggest issue is the price. Paying 99 cents for a 58-page book seems like a steal... Until you realize that it's part 1 of 9, and the other parts are closer to two or three dollars apiece. My son loves Minecraft and its creepers, and the premise of this series is cute and original. HOWEVER. The story lacks a bit in its execution, the characters basically behave and speak like normal humans with remarkably few details that create anything resembling "creeper culture" or anything else potentially interesting, and...I'm sorry, but the names are too normal. Nitpicky I know, but still. Anyway, three stars are entirely out of love for my son and his tastes, but I had to take away two for myself.

A cool story for young ones
Usually a villain, these Creepers just want to be left alone. No explosions, no enemies, but in this story, something is attacking them. In The Friendly Creeper Diaries, Mike is on a journey with friends to find out why their village is constantly attacked, but while searching for answers, they only obtain more questions, by being attacked again! In a The story is only about 45-50 pages long, so if I share more, the SPOILERS will be a retelling of the story. It's a fine middle grader and elementary read. If you're older and are in to the Minecraft games, this will be cool, but if you're not- you won't be bored easily, because it's very short. The book is based off the games, but there's more to this story. The ending has a huge cliffhanger that kids will enjoy. My son blew through these. He is a lover of games that are expensive, but looks cheap- like back when I was playing Atari! Anyway, I'm to the next read. Check out the Minecraft franchise if you're kids are into that stuff. If you are too, enjoy!*City of the End (Minecraft) is next. The Friendly Creeper, Book 1Mark MulleIndependent Author, Amazon Digital ServicesMarch 20, 2016

Cute story. TERRIBLE grammar.
My kids enjoyed it. And I got it for free, so no complaints there!HOWEVER, I don’t know if I would have my kids read the other books because the grammar is TERRIBLE! It changes tense so quickly! And where they are young and learning these things, I worry they’ll think that that is the proper way to speak and write. I’m not as picky as I sound - seriously, the grammar is terrible. Enough that after I explained it to my kids, they’d laugh and point it out as we were reading...Anyway, if that doesn’t bother you, and you’re looking for a VERY quick read - this was a fun one.

Content is fine, but it's not going to overcome the poor ...
$10 for 16 pages. Wow. starts on page 7, ends on page 23. My 7 year old was really excited when he walked in and saw this on his night stand and then I could hear him exhale in a frustrated manner when he realized how thin the book was. Content is fine, but it's not going to overcome the poor value.

Lots of Grammar Mistakes but Story not too bad
This was not a bad book. But there were many, many grammar mistakes. I could write better than this and I'm in middle school! Also, the story is short and ends with a giant cliffhanger. Although this book is free, the other books in the series do cost money and that is what bothers me about thr cliffhanger.Otherwise, I like the book.Entertaining and interesting and even tho I am not a Minecraft fan I understood everything.

Nice easy book to reas
It has some minor grammar errors and no background story, but the pace is good, the dialogue doesn't sound unrealistic or forced and the action scenes are quite interesting. I'm going to read part 2... Really wanna know what's up with the wither skeletons

Interesting. Needs Some Edits
The story is interesting and moves along swiftly. I did not know it was Mine craft-related until I read other reviews. The book could do with some editing. The wrong word has been used once or twice and some of the grammar used is questionable.I got the book for free and I am not sure I would spend money on the next parts.

I llved this book
THIS WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!It is cliff hanger and then you have to pay for the next books which is pretty unfair. Thats the only bad thing about it. ;-;I enjoy playing Minecraft and this is the perfect thing for me. I also read it in 2 nights straight.I recommend this for anyone that lovess Minecraft and/or plays it.

One great but short book
It wasn't boring but kind of not very interesting as .much as it should be at timesI liked it but it wasn't well my thing even though I love minecraft.I would recommend this to people who like Minecraft and block craft 3d because it is a story about that. Well to me it was a very good book.👍🙂!

Didn't hold interest
Like many 10 year olds ours is a minecraft fan and apart from Rick Riordan books is something of a reluctant reader, we hoped that these books would spark an interest but unfortunately not. Pace of text and storying telling aspect failed to inspire. However may just be us.....

The friendly creeper
Written in a diary format it was easy reading for my 7 year old, who loves Minecraft and loved this. Yes its basic but it's free and about Minecraft which is all that mattered. Great book for him to read on his own or have read to him at bedtime story. It's short and glad it was free, doubt will purchase the rest unless they were 99p as not worth upwards of ÂŁ3 that's for sure!
