As others noted, no instructions other than a small sheet of paper. It comes with a three soft rubber blue bezels of different shapes for attaching to the air inlet side of the fan. There is a plastic plate that attaches to the underside of the fan for stabilizing. It appears that this fan is meant to be placed against the exhaust port of the laptop to increase air flow. The fan unit has a on/off speed control. When unit is on a red led light on top goes on. The fan is lightweight plastic and a bit bulky. Not quiet like newer computer fans but noise level is OK. Good air flow.With that said, fan is being used for cooling other stuff like a Dish receiver. Plugged into the USB port of the equipment. Instead of using the fan on the exhaust side out of equipment , it is being used to force more air into the input side - basically augmenting the existing fan of the equipment. Even at the lowest fan setting, the equipment runs cooler. Minimizing glitches when equipment get too warm.

I really did not expect much from this and boy did it deliver that! Pure junk, plain and simple. the mounting is weak and peels off easily and unexpectedly. All the instructions that are included in the box appear to be in Chinese only and this thing made next to no difference in the level of heat of my laptop. I'm not only not impressed, but incredibly disappointed in this product. I will say, I think it's a nice idea, but the execution is ineffective. Maybe others have had better luck, but I will not be using this cheap garbage. I'm better off without even trying.

Honestly, I expected a toy that would break upon first usage. It actually worked and brought down the temp on my core i7. Great value. Just don't lose the power cord because it would be a pain to replace it.

I had bought an under-the-laptop platform with five fans that wasn't nearly as effective as this fan at keeping temps down. My laptop has a big vent on the side where laptop fan exhausts. My fan died, and this draws a lot of air out, so it does a good job, better than new. I know because I monitor temps with Speedfan. But, you need a decent fit between your laptop's exhaust vent and the blue silicone shroud that fits on the fan intake. If you have a very thin laptop, or you have a big gap, it won't work very well.

Nice product. Moves the air VERY good, and yes, you can hear it, and it isn't that bad. If you want quiet, go to the library. If you want cool for your laptop, this is it.

I did not expect miracles from this, but it pulls VERY little airflow through even on high, is incredibly noisy even on low, and when left to run on high for any amount of time starts to warm up (I tested by itself to make sure, even with no laptop near it it warmed up) meaning that at a certain point it actually makes things worse not better. All in all, consider a common desk fan blowing on the intake of your laptop, will do more than this.

This is a replacement for the one purchased 6 years ago, the old one ran solid until the motor gave out. I adapted to a T500 with docking station that had cooling issues before the fan. No problems now.
