Handy pH testing strips to keep in the cupboard.
I use these for testing the acidity of my home-made vinegar - you need it ti be a strong acid for pickling and often homemade vinegar is not acidic enough. I've tested them against an electronic pH meter and are happy that they are giving a good indication. I've also used them to test the acidity of the soil in the garden an in the house plants. The latter is recommended (by me) if you have plants that have not been repotted for a long time. If you use tap-water to water them, even if it's filtered the minerals in the water can build up in the soil of the pots. So, if your plants start to look a bit sickly, this is a quick test to see if they have suddenly become a it too acidic or basic. The strips are exactly as I remembered using at school and work in the same way. Dip them, and compare to the chart. You even get an opportunity to argue with others as to whether the particular shade showing is to the left or to the right of what you think it is.

the paper works fine but i finally realized that i have no use for it!! really i dont know what else besides house stuff
unless you have a plan or list of uses for it then dont get it. i thought it would be cool be after waiting nearly 3 weeks to get it, just so i can see it turn red, green or blue. is just a waste of my time really.i gave 3 star because it took the p*ss to get here and i dont have any proper use for it.other than that the product works fine.

Tested and the strips are inaccurate.
I used the strips to test 2 types of water to get an accuracy reading.Regular tap water and Tannins stained water. The tap water was ph 7 and the Tannins water was almost an 8.That can't be right because Tannins lowers pH value. So not only is the pH reading off by a full number, it also seems to have mixed readings, With a few tests I averaged the pH tannins water and took 1 whole number off it. That was the most accurate reading I had when I compared it to a pH master kit and a pH pen.Saliva and Urine aren't accurate too.Watch out when buying, although cheap and tempting my strips were way off. They also came from China, 10 day delivery.

Good pH test paper
This stuff does work as pH paper, and gives reasonably accurate readings. I tested some tap water and it came out green (pH 7), which sounds about right. Energy drink came out red with a pH of about 3 to 4, which again sounds about right (it has added citric acid to give it a crisp taste). People should remember that this stuff is single use, once it's been wetted the ink starts to wash out, and if you try to reuse it, even if you dry it, contamination from whatever you tested previously will spoil the reading. Rather than use an entire strip per test, just tear off a little square of paper, that's all you need to test something.

160PCS pH Indicator Test Strips 1-14 Universal Indicator
As shown, and just what we needed. In 2 small sealed packs of 80 strips, each with its colour chart. These are incorrectly described a "Litmus" paper. Litmus shows only whether the pH is less than 7 (acid) or more than 7 (allkaline). They are, I think, Universal Indicator papers, and show pH from 1 to 14, as shown by the colour range

The strips are too general for my use with health
I think I needed to look more carefully before buying. I wanted to tell the difference in much finer detail - ie when something is 6.1 or 6.2 for example but the scale is too coarse giving only 5, 6, 7 etc as different colours. They are fine otherwise but just not helpful for health work, measuring the body's pH. Otherwise, they arrived (from China) on time and were neatly packaged. Now, I have just looked again and see that they ARE advertised for saliva, urine and they certainly are not good enough for that - it was not me just not reading carefully enough.I would not buy them again.

Tested on the whole family.
Does appear to work, unless I am not acidic...{Hang on, everyone is peeing on a strip, including the dogs, lol} Ohh! No! It does appear to work, my pregnant daughters went green, so she's in the middle. Apparently the lower number is acidic, higher number is alkaline...

Dispatched from far
This is as effective measuring paper as more expensive varieties but I don't like the fact that it comes from very far. I think it was dispatched from China, so not the best for the carbon footprint.
