It's good, but don't expect Duncan obviously
So the neck pickup is goodIt sounds clear enough, decent output, it compliments my Seymour Duncan lil 59T just fine. I have it in the neck position of a fender player tele with 500k pots.As for wiring, the diagram tells you the color wires and which is which. Everything was pretinned. Its standard wiring is in phase with fender pickupsIf going with Duncan, reverse your ground and hot leads or you will be out of phase. The cover is flawless, baseplate looks good, it's well potted and quiet, logo is actually quite nice. You can't do better for 35 bucks.I'd say it's similar to Epiphone pickups before the probuckers came around. As far as versatility, through my fender bass breaker and a couple drives it stays clear just fine, but I wouldn't expect petrucci clarity under heavy amounts of gain.It sounds like a PAF to an extent.Just buy it

Oripure is one of the best pickups in any price range
I thought I'd spend some time with the 2 oripure pickups I just bought here on Amazon and do a comparison between oripure, "center burgundy squier affinity tele deluxe, and sienna sunburst squier affinity strat, and a Seymour Duncan jb equipped n Red squier contemporary telecaster far left in picture, also a ltd h101 fm with a DiMarzio tone zone.. I wont get into the JB or tone zone, but I will say how the oripure compared with them. Both of the oripure humbuckers alnico 5 one is just under 17 ohms and the one of which is silver capped paf style sound absolutely great, both are very fat but not muddy with just the right amount of top end for clarity but no shrillness at all, primarily the oripure black has a little more mid and the oripure paf style has just a touch more upper presence and slightly lower output. Mow on to the oripure paf style pickup. The tone is somewhere between a Duncan JB and DiMarzio paf or tone zone.. the sound clean is nice and smooth with a sparkle of upper presence for detail. Jumping over to the dirt channels of a Boss katana, fender champion 50 xl, and line6 spider v 60 mkii Will do a nice crunch tone for rythmic playing and classic rock to bluesy licks and sound full and lacking for nothing tonally speaking. Roll on more gain and you will be rewarded with a smooth creamy liquid like sustain perfect for melodic phrases or wickedly fast shred passages. The build quality is excellent and on par with Duncan JB or DiMarzio tone zone. Nice wire leads that are strong but remain flexible for weaving through control cavity and installation. One thing I might add is that when installing into a squier/fender and as well as other guitars that utilize the reverse polarity nexk pickup, you will need to use the ground wire on oripure it's black, and make this the hot lead wire, and solder green with silver shield wire onto black of pot as ground (usually on back of volume potentiometer) otherwise the sound will be out of phase when running both bridge and neck pickup simultaneously. And also at least to my ears not let some of the low end through.. All in all these oripure pick-ups are a win win in my book and not only sound good, but hold their own against Duncan and DiMarzio I mentioned, in other words they are All fairly equal and the Oripure (s) have their own tone identity which sits somewhere between the Duncan and DiMarzio I compared. I will definitely be getting another oripure when money allows (bills and ridiculous inflation) likely a oripure hot rails style telecaster bridge position pup and comoare with a Duncan quarter pounder and febder deluxe drive bridge position pup and write a quick review as well. I'm not payed for writing a review, just like to offer my honest opinion and insight so others can get an idea about the tone and build quality of these pups oripure makes, very impressive sound build and design/magnet choice and coil winding. Don't think of these as a second Best cheaper alternative, but as a nice very capable pickup with their own tonal identity, which is thick sustain with just the right amount of upper end and presence to fit in the mix nicely without being shrill in upper end mid range or overly hyped presence like some other more expensive options.. I hope this mini review is of help for others looking into these pickups. They are worth the price and would be Worth twice the price easily..

Great Value , good sound on the clean setting and very hot pickup and is great for hardrock and metal. Not quite as good Gibson humbuckers

Awesome pickup for the money!
I got the 8.4k bridge pickup for my Squier Bullet Strat HT and it sounds excellent for the price. Installation was very easy and straight forward.

Fantastic pickup. Blew me away.
Wow! Wasn’t expecting that! Awesome pickup. No buzz, noise, just high quality clear warm tones and a high output. Rounded out this guitar build perfectly. One of the best sounding p90 type pickups I’ve heard. It comes in a professional looking case, more than enough wiring that is RF shielded. I’m shocked.

Sounds nice
Sound great for the money, no same pup sounds alike! It’s the price you pay for handmade and not machine made
