SWEETNATURE Candy Canes, Peppermint, 12 Count Box (Pack of 12)

Spangler has always been a good source of candy canes. This order failed. This package says that it contains 240 mini canes. I noticed there were some that were broken, so I investigated further. The shipping box that it came in from Amazon was in perfect condition upon arrival - no dings or dents. I began separating broken from unbroken candy canes. When I finished I was appalled so I counted each pile. There was a total of 232 canes in the box (yep, short a few). There were 109 unbroken ones, but there were 123 that were broken. Some were the typical break in the crook of the cane - I would expect to see a few of these. In this case, many of the broken ones were shattered into many little pieces. I took a photo of several of them - these were among the 'better' of the broken ones. I have a seasonal job from about Thanksgiving to Christmas where I sit and talk with many people (most of them children) and I would not be able to use these to give a small something to a child.

This is the 2nd year that I've purchased these for the holidays and it has consistently been great quality with few if any broken during shipping.Our "extended" family have a number of small children so I use these as a decoration on their Christmas gifts. It not only minimizes waste that would just go straight to the trash, but they really enjoy eating them. For the few candy canes that are not used / given to the kids, we use them in our drinks / cocktails. Nothing like relaxing with a great peppermint martini after an all day Christmas affair with the family!

These arrived in 100% perfect condition. Product was Professionally Double-Padded and Double-Boxed. Each piece is individually shrink-wrapped and sealed. Each Cane measures approx. 3/8" Diameter, and stands approx 7+ inches tall. Flavor is true Peppermint; not too strong (won't bite), and not too weak. These are basically a Hard Candy, which means they're meant to licked & savored; not woofed-down. These are how I remember Peppermint Candy Canes back when I was a little kid. (now,,,, if I can just find summa that Fancy Ribbon Candy....).

I ordered the king size candy canes and they are gorgeous and arrived in great shape. Unfortunately, I wanted these large, pretty, candy canes for decorative purposes and they just won't work for that because each individual candy cane has a bar code and expiration date stamped on it - too unsightly for my decorative purposes. Such a shame because they are otherwise gorgeous candy canes. Spangler, please consider an option for these candy canes without individual bar codes.

Has more of a spear mint flavor. I was really hoping for the traditional peppermint, but apparently forgot that Spangler doesn't do a true peppermint. The mint flavor was also very weak. The candy canes almost all came broken due to improper packaging. The box was slightly too large and no padding was used to prevent the container from slamming around when the carrier obviously was a bit rough with it. I am thoroughly disappointed, but this was my mistake.

These are high quality thick beautiful candy canes! We needed them to make candygrams at a party and they were perfect. Bigger and prettier than the kind you find at a grocery store. The quality added a really special touch to our event.

Product was just what she (my wife) was expecting; flavor was just what she wanted; however, she has gone through about 10 of the sticks and each one has been broken in at least one place.Box was marked "FRAGILE" but apparently the handling was still too rough.Not the end of the world - but, still frustrating.

Great value used these for Santa to give to the kids! A lot of them were broken which sucked but most kids were not picky that was why I give it 4 stars
