Got this new set of high quality tool kit to work on my friend Sea Ray SLX 240, I personally do not have a boat but 2 of my friends love to boat on the weekend. From time to time they will ask me for help, (I am an Auto mechanic, and Marine boats use engines too!). Decided I need some High quality stainless Steel tools if I am gonna keep helping them, did some research and settled on this Powerbilt set and I am very happy with it! Pro: Remember, this is a MARINE boat repair tool set, it means the tools are designed to be high rust and corrosion resistance stainless steel. Marine tools need to have a high percentage of chromium to form a protective layer of oxide on the tools. You have no idea how quickly salt water can eat through steel without chromium. And that’s why it costs so much more than a regular tool set. This Powerbuilt Repair tool set also comes with a waterproof tool box, awsome! Con: Not a cheap set of tools, but to be very honest I am used to spending a good amount of $$ on snap-on tools for cars so I totally understand you just can’t get quality tools for cheap, If you don’t need high rust resistance stainless steel, then maybe you can settle on something cheaper. Overall I love it and I am super happy to have a high quality tools kit that can withstand the harsh conditions of sea water.

I have purchased tools that were for marine boats before that were made in China, supposedly made of stainless steel, which were not cheap. They rusted within weeks, even after every use they were cleaned and wiped with a light oil. needless to say they did not last. This set is superior in quality and the stainless it is made from. I will never purchase products from China again. Thank you.

I should have minded the poor reviews on Amazon. The case is great and the idea is a good one. However, the set is not for an experienced DIYer or mechanically knowledgeable boater. The socket set is a joke...no kidding its silly small and useless. The drive set is ok, not bad.

It's probably going to be handy, but on a long enough timeline, I'll end up keeping the wrenches and sockets (maybe some of the drivers). The socket handle is laughably short, no way you're getting leverage on that. The mallet is something out of a toy set. I guess I should have read the description better. There are things they could have gone without or substituted but it's still a stainless socket set which is what I needed for the boat. It's much much smaller and less sturdy than I'd expected for the price.

I bought these to keep onboard and work on my boat. I love the quality of the tools and the compact and water-tight case. My only wish is that they also had an imperial units tool set.

Wanted a good tool kit in stainless for my boat knowing full well that stainless stains but after a single use at the dock I didn't expect this. These rusted faster than lowest end Home Depot tools. Don’t waste your money. Heading back to vendor. They were stored on land after use in the great case. The case was the best part. Screw drivers have a set screw to hold the driver to the handle. Not fun or practical to whip out the Allen wrench constantly.

Purchased this kit as my uncle needs to maintain his boat. The tools are very sturdy and unlike the other tools he had, these tools do not rust. Even the screwdriver handles are made of stainless steels rather than the typical plastic out there that could fall apart. The tools are made to last for years and can be stored in wet areas. Highly recommended.

Rusty tools are overrated. This is great for the boat. My only (small) complaint is that the shafts were a bit loose in the drivers, causing them to spin when I tried using the phillips screwdriver. When I discovered this, I simply backed out the set screw enough to pull the shaft out, lined up the flat spot with where the set screw would go, and tightened it, using the allen wrenches that came with the set. Easy enough.
