This book was cute! All about Ruby
This book was a fun read. This book focuses primarily on Ruby and how she loves her team. There is a little fan service between Ruby and Weiss but it's cute. Ruby in this chapter is from season 1. She's still young and nieve and tries to piece together friendship. You relaize that she loves and adores Weiss and in truth...that's her first real friend aside from Yang (but they are sisters). She realizes quickly that they all need to get together and synchronize but she ends up doing it in silly ways. It was a nice read but honestly only get this one if you LOVE Ruby Rose.

A RWBY Chibi manga?
Basically "RWBY Chibi Manga". I dont know what I was expecting but I was very disappointed. Says on the back "official manga anthology" but if its an official product why isnt it made by the Rooster Teeth team? The art style is quite nice for the characters but the background in most chapters is extremely lacking causing me to only focus on the dialogue only. Also a side note the first few pages are in color making it look amazing but then it cuts off to black and white. I know this is typical in manga but it got my hopes up for the whole manga to be colorized. I won't be buying the next 3 manga.

Hyperactive
Definitely full of cute short stories. Interspersed with knockdown action fights where she takes down hordes of baddies. Oddly, I found the cute ones better than the fights. The cuties seemed so much more in character that the fights seemed somewhat jarring. One thing that took me by surprise is that (the ebook) was set up like a Japanese Manga. So you have to read it backwards. Once I figured that out, I went back and the conversations made much more sense.

A great companion piece for any RWBY lover
A great companion piece for any RWBY lover! These stories range from sweet to funny to...odd. Just like Ruby! The various art styles and interpretations of RWBY's beloved characters make this an enjoyable read. Definitely highly recommend!

Like RWBY chibi
I was expecting this to be a continuation of the series, but instead it is short stories based off the series, more like RWBY CHIBI. Not bad, just different than I was expecting. Also, the stories are not in any kind of chronological order (like RWBY CHIBI).There's not background information on the characters, so its definitely written for people who are already fans and familiar with the series.

Fairly low quality fan fic
The stories in this book are fairly childish and uninteresting. I was expecting a deeper exploration of the characters and side stories that explored parts of the story that couldn't be covered in the time allowed in the animated serires. These books failed to deliver on all accounts. I found them so tedious and uninteresting that I gave them away rather then waste space in my book shelves. I only gave the first book two stars, books 2-4 only received one star.

Love it
I'm a huge RWBY fan and when I learned about this I preorder it in a heart beat, and I wasn't disappointed! As soon as it came I sat down and reas the whole thing. I love how cute and humorous it is! I've read it at least a dozen times and I still have a stupid grin on my face the entire time.

Must have for any RWBY fan!!
Well written and drawn, this installment of the anthology expands a bit on the character of Ruby Rose while she was attending Beacon Academy. I think it takes place between Volumes 1 and 2? Either way, it's great. Definitely recommend it.

Very much enjoyed!
I enjoyed this book very much, I bought the Weiss book first since she's my favourite character and Ruby happens to be my least, I bought this anyway for whatever reason and found I enjoyed it a lot more than the second book, really enjoyed the small stories of Ruby and Weiss was features many times so that was great! I really appreciate the contributions from different artists; old and new, the art was very cute and I laughed a few times in this book. A definite recommendation from me, wonderful book even if you don't care for the character, looking forward to the next, I'll be sad to see this series stop at the 4th book, really loving the bite-sized stories.

It’s also a book.
A great collection of little stories that take place during team RWBY’s time at Beacon. A great mix of tone to each story as well with Ruby being the main focus of this volume. The writing and art style are great and feel just like something you’d get in the animated series. The best way I could describe the contents of the volume is that it’s like a more serious and fitting version of RWBY Chibi. Fun little stories that actually fit into the universe and show us some more of what life is like for team RWBY while at Beacon.

OK but not as good as the show
It's nice, it's fun, it has a style, but for me, it doesn't fully capture the beauty of the series. Perhaps I've being lazy, perhaps I struggle with the backwards Japanese format, but I wanted this to be more than it is. Still good, but...

Awesome read and is definitely worth buying
An amazing beginning to the RWBY anthology, with the first containing many interesting and quirky stories about Ruby and some of her adventures. But you don't have to buy each one, if you want to you read stories about your favourite character, then you can buy the specific book for that character. I truly do recommend buying the whole series when it comes out if you are a fan of RWBY. (Posted 17/09/18)

A pretty damn good fan-centric project
Even though many of the stories are non-canon, it's still fantastic to see a company take so much care in it's fans and in a manga form no-less. You get a couple of laughs, some truly touching stories and overall great artwork. What more can you ask for?
