Mouth-watering ideas for dishes that combine flavour and texture
This book gives you lots of ideas for ‘assembling’ and creating a delicious dish by using a variety of flavours together. The writer pays close attention to balancing the different tastes, eg savoury, sweet, sour, salty etc and adding interest with croûtons, toasted nuts etc. Although there are a few simple meat or fish recipes, most of the recipes are vegetarian, some vegan. I was attracted to this book because Toast, the clothing company, has a fabulous recipe in their online magazine for a pickled watermelon salad by the writer that I have made several times as a standalone dish or to accompany roast chicken. So far I am certainly not disappointed by the other recipes I have found in this book.

Good recipes
Something a bit different to make a salad. Lovely recipes which all my family love. They are imaginative and not your run of the mill salads.

Best cookbook for salads
Ive tried several cookbooks with a focus on salads and this is by far the best. Interesting and appetising combinations of ingredients.

Highly recommend!
I'm a big fan of salads (mainly because I'm a pretty terrible cook, so as most salads don't require much cooking, they work for me!), so Salad Feasts sounded like a good buy.I tried my first recipe the other night - charred broccoli, flatbread and harissa chickpeas - and it was AMAZING. Our plates were clean in seconds flat. I was a bit apprehensive about adding flatbread into a salad, but it soaks up the lemon juice and harissa, softening a bit and adding a nice texture and a bit of bulk to the salad, making it simple, yet substantial. In this summer heatwave, Salad Feasts is the perfect fit. I highly recommend it!
