Works well - with some creativity
As others pointed out, it will catch on the latch for most doors because it doesn't retract fully. *But*, while I was dreading having to tear it out and order some HES strikes instead, I swung by home depot, grabbed a $4 pack of adhesive rubber bumpers (like the rubber feet you might but on the bottom of something to keep it from sliding), put it just inside the strike to prevent the door's latch from fully extending so it slides right over the slightly extended piece of the strike when the strike is retracting. Works perfectly and doesn't interfere with the locking mechanism of the door so you can continue to use a physical key if you position it right. Yes, there are better quality no-cut strikes like HES; however, when you're doing multiple doors, that extra $25-50 adds up quick, when I can get an 8 pack of adhesive bumpers and do the same thing.

Be careful - need space
These are a little easier to install than the HES 'no cut' strike but the keeper sticks out past the strike plate. If you have less than 3/16 between the door and the frame this strike Will catch / bind the latch.Be careful that you have enough space to make this strike work otherwise get the HES 8000 and it won't bind (but it'll cost you a lil more

Nice concept, but catches on the door. Very hard to open. Doesn't work well
I installed 3 of these steel door frames with a steel door in the same building. There are tight gaps all the way around between the door and frame. The strike catches on the door making it very hard to open. These door are access to an apartment building garage and all the woman are complaining.I called Seco's tech support for assistance and the person on the phone said nothing that can be done. He didn't seem like he really wanted to help either. They should have a spec on the door gap so one does not waste their time trying to put it in. I have ordered the HES 8000 to replace it.For the extra $25.00 each for the HES I would have saved a lot of time (which is money) and aggravation. As well as have a happier customer.
